Miz Johnny, I was trying earlier to remember what you named your machine. I remembered it was something catchy, but couldn't remember what! Thank you for reminding us! Great name, especially for a Kentucky machine!

Miz Johnny you really need to try the 319. It is wonderful in a treadle and can do so much. As soon as I can find more flat cams I am going to use it to decorate a crazy quilt.

Glenn, Cathy who does our TOGA's here, has all kinds of the flat cams. You want her phone number?

I can not even get it to send me a message when some one post on here. I though I had it set up for instant
messages. Teck stuff and I do not always get along. I have not even figured out my VCR and I have had it
for over five years. It sits unused until my granddaughter comes and put in a movie for me. Kathie

Kathie, are you still able to send your pictures to me? I can post them for you.

MisDixie, I think the board has been acting up. I have had trouble moving around, trouble 'editing,' sometimes trouble even posting. The board acts like it is frozen sometimes.

I did get that Singer 99K. It looks to be in good shape, but the case is in rough shape. Has anyone done any restoration on cases? Got pictures? MisDixie

Quiltdoctor, WOW, you are a treadle/sewing machine doctor! What a fantastic job of restoring that cabinet! What a job you took on too! Amazing!

I tend to get the ones that are in rougher shape, because they fit my budget better and I like the challenge. My Dad was a tinkerer from way back, and I've done lots of refinishing, but now I am learning the proper way to "restore" an old piece. Just hoping this old dog can learn a new trick or two here.

Thanks, Nancy, I took the name quiltdoctor in the 90's when I was restoring antique quilts. It just kinda stuck, even though I don't restore them any longer.

Having trouble too but at least I'm getting a daily email message which had stopped with the old board. It's getting a little easier to maneuver around but I still have lots to learn. Glad you're back - I had thought it was where the school year had started back and you were too busy. For some reason I've thought you're a teacher like DH - but I could very well be mistaken. Next I need to learn to post pics after the holiday...
Who has time to sew with this board so busy and informative?

Quiltdoctor,
I'm amazed what you have done so far with cleaning and glueing. What a difference already! Is that a base you've built just to slide a machine in while you are cleaning and restoring?
