I have noticed that some featherweight cases have a little tray on top, and most of them don't. Did that come with them originally? Just wondering...

But my pink Atlas is here and about to be broken in all over again by me.

Non Singer treadles are good by me!! This is coming from a guy that owns a bullet nosed Studebaker!!

Anyway please post photos of the heirloom so we all can revel in its glory and if you want slip some in of the Pink Atlas!! Pink machines are always good!!!

I just got a "Pink" Atlas today at an auction. I paid $15 for her. Did I pay too much? I soooo wish I had a camera so I could post pictures of her. Can any one tell me any links for information ot it? Serial number is S 240379. I have a manual if anyone wants a copy PM me and I will mail you a copy.

I paid I think $37 for mine, plus another $25 for shipping. I will post pics once I can unearth my camera again. I'm reorganizing my house, getting ready for vacation and finishing up quilts to take with me. Arghhh.

Lisa's quote:
"Just so everyone knows, I am very willing to pick up and ship anything you may see in this area and have to have."

Lisa, I see that you have a love for sewing machines!

Thank you for posting your collections and offering to pickup and ship items from your area. I think that is a very thoughtful, kind and generous offer!!

In case you happen to run across a coffen top like the one I see in your photo (the one in front of cushions) I wouldn't mind having one :)

Again, love your collection and can't wait for you to post more.

They did come with the tray to hold notions, etc. I'm sure that some just got misplaced...

Took a quick inventory to go with it. In the garage, 7 treadles and 9 with tails.

In the house 5 treadles, FW, Hand crank, 5 electric (Alco, everyday machine, backup, serger and GE toy).

I'm pathetic, now to get them running. And some a new home.

Well Lisa I am digging the garage and I think I see where my bike will fit in with no problem.....

You remember the photo of the garage you showed me in the CL listing and we both agreed we would love to have that one...well I have the same feeling about yours right now!! If I threw the door on yours my wallet would be jumping just like my heart!!

LOL Lisa no need to ship but maybe I can look for you. Hehehe Loved seeing all your goodies. Which machine are you currently working on to get restored? I am impatiently waiting for my belt and feet for the red eye treadle. Showing her off to freidns already though and she has an honorary spot in the living room along with Miss 51-91 electric. Thanks for psoting the pictures Lisa! Looks like oodles of fun.

Honestly I am sorry Lisa, but you have to admit its awful fun!! I can not wait to hang out with you for a few days and see what kinda trouble we are going to get into......

Lyncat I am loving the view you have from your sewing area!!!

As for the trays I am not sure if it was an optional thing or if they were just produced for certain year FW's but I bet CabinQuilter will know for sure she is the resident Featherweight expert.

Anna, I am working on two, a Davis treadle and a Singer 337. Both are in the disassembled and cleaning stage.

The good thing is the Davis cabinet does not need any work. I just need to find a drawer. Well, I am sure I have to figure out how to lubricate the treadler.

I may try to find a carrying case for the Singer, not sure, Robin came just by her self. But I did get the parts ordered by email so nothing really stopping the work on this one but time.
