    I wish I had seen this thread earlier. There was an ad on CL from someone that got a Singer at a garage sale and was selling it. He had a picture in the ad but said that it was not of his machine that he was selling, but similar to the one pictured. He wanted $7,000.00 for it.

    What happened to the rest of the poor machine after it's legs were amputated? Definitely a mutilation of an uncommon machine.

    That Margarette or how ever you spell it IS uncommon. I have the legs for one - it was a fiddle base head - I can tell that from the 'foot' print in the cabinet. It was already decapitated when I got it. BUT I tried to look it up and came up with nothing.

    [QUOTE=makitmama;6066896]hmmm $1500 bucks.

    For some reason people have started to think these machines are very valuable. Most of our old Singers where given to us.

    The preppers are driving the prices up on the people powered machines...I see a lot of recommendations that folks should have one or two in their "supplies"....

    Yea Steve, I want to know if the NON-picture did it justice or not too. Hmmmm.
    ...Not working but in good shape on my yard. Hmmmm. Kind of like - More Rust than sewing machine, and more thatch than lawn. Sorry, but take it back to the boat and put it back on the anchor chain. It is worth more there.
