Jon, I am so glad to hear that. I was beginning to feel just plain dumb ! I'm not getting into all that, but you really made me feel better since you told me they are made different.

Thanks again,

Texas Jan

Does anyone know where I can get a new belt for my Necchi BU Supernova? I tried the local sm shop, but got the wrong one, it was too wide. Mine needs a belt that is a little less than 3/16" wide. TIA

Can you cut the wide belt down?

I have found if I ask, sew-classic can get stuff.

Thought everyone would find this interesting. Looks like the clear case was made for display.

Edit: It's for sale but no price listed.

Alas, it is not meant to be used with the walking foot and I will not quilt through the layers without the walking foot. I did get it on when I took the walking foot off. If I wasn't so worried about puckers I'd do it, but not when I haven't worked with the machine enough yet.

FMQ not an option as I don't have the darning plate or FMQ foot.

I got out my chalk and most of the projects will be too light to use them and I only have white and yellow. If I can find the tape, I'll tape them, if not, I'll have to use disappearing ink. I've already tested in on a scrap of the same fabric to see if it comes out or not.

Thanks again for all your help.
I have marked lines with just a pencil and washed it out ok.
