Glenn, if I could remember how to shrink pictures, I would show you my legs.... I found a modern as in electric Sear's Kenmore in a broken up cabinet with treadle legs at GW. The machine is repairable - the legs will work. The cabinet is DOA. It is missing many parts/drawers... It was painted and has lots of veneer missing or bubbled and flaked up. The cabinet looks modified to hold that Sears machine. Did I mention the legs still work???

Carie, a Schmetz needle will fit fine.

Carie, your featherweight takes a standard 15x1 needle that you can buy anywhere that they sell sewing machine needles.
When you insert the needle, make sure that the flat of the needle is to the left, insert it as far as it will go and tighten down.

Randa, it does a straight stitch and zig zag only, correct? Have you tried removing the handwheel and putting it back on? Sometimes the handwheel disengages and refitting it on will work.
