So far I haven't found any instructions on how to re-time the hook that doesn't describe the replacement of it. The Singer 15 manuals are no help in this one.

I did sign up with that Yahoo Japanese machine group and did download that 5 part maintenance book. I doubt it will be of any help as it's just a generic clean and lube type book.

I will study the machine and keep looking for info.

We were out bumming around an antique mall 40 mi N if Atlanta. Very little under $175, a nice hand crank, I think it was a National but it was $225. The cheapest machine they had in the place was a 15 clone for about $30...not even any parts...bummer. I'm still looking for a slant hopping foot for my 301 if any one has an extra one around.

I'm cleaning the bobbin winder on a machine that uses a shuttle. I took it off the machine, but can it be completely taken apart it is really dirty? I hope this makes sense. Thank you!! Anamaria

Can't you just soak it in kerosene?
