We were out bumming around an antique mall 40 mi N if Atlanta. Very little under $175, a nice hand crank, I think it was a National but it was $225. The cheapest machine they had in the place was a 15 clone for about $30...not even any parts...bummer. I'm still looking for a slant hopping foot for my 301 if any one has an extra one around.

I'm cleaning the bobbin winder on a machine that uses a shuttle. I took it off the machine, but can it be completely taken apart it is really dirty? I hope this makes sense. Thank you!! Anamaria

It's interesting....I know from her experience that I most likely wouldn't powder coat a slide plate....I don't like how it looks...actually, am not sure I'd powder coat the machine either... but that's me! I do find her "journey" interesting tho!
