Wow everyone the shop was busy this weekend. My Mom is still visiting so been spending more time with her then on the board. Randa what a great Davis you found! Congratulations.

I did fall off the machine diet. A friend called early Saturday and had found a treadle at a garage sale. Well I thought I will go after lunch and see if it is still there. We did and they were packing up. It is a White with a nice cabinet so I got it for $35. Score!!!!

I will plan to do some swapping with my other white treadles to get the best cabinet and machine combination. Yeah.

I will post pictures later.

Still negotiating on a singer hand crank but will go look at it this weekend.

Nancy, can you give me a ball park date for my machine. The last date on the slide plate is May 12, 1886. The number which I think is the serial number is 1088859. I noticed that you only have 6 numbers in your serial number where I have 7. This is for the Davis VF machine.

Here is our newest "little Lady" she came from Florida today.Probably wishing she was back in Florida after the ride in the UPS truck to snowy WV. Was born March 3, 1964. We can only find 2 little marks on her. Was well taken care of by other owner.

probably call her Blondie

She is sweet. Did you get her case, etc. ? I also have a 1964 white FW. Love her. Congrats. BTW: was it your idea to send the snow up here to Mass. LOL

Trish she is very pretty. I also just bought a white FW. I paid for her sight unseen. A friend of mine called me and sold her to me over the phone! I will post a picture when I get her, but that may not be for a while! I just sent the check to pay for her -- I don't even know what year she is -- just wanted a white one to go with my two black ones! Are we crazy or what?

No I don't, but have seen pictures of what one with complete decals should look like. Bill said the decals were completely gone and a repaint was the only solution.

Nancy,
Look on page 18 of this thread for a picture of what my purple machine would look like with the original, intact decals.
