I have a friend you bought a Sweet 16 and she is still scared of it, but she has a quilting buddy who has mastered the machine and is now teaching her. She said it was easy to get used to and having the big table space is great. I did think of buying one but I reaaaaallllllllyyy want a longarm, but my husband's arms are too short to twist and we would have to buy a bigger house. Maybe its not the longarm that worries him its the bigger house????
We went and looked at a house yesterday which was huge, downside is that it is 15 minutes out of town off the highway and onto a dirt track, 8 acres of land (too much) and in my opinion too isolated, but the house was perfect
Oh well I'll keep looking
We are really not in the market to buy another home but I guess if the right one came on sale we would have to seriously think about it.
Anael a holiday to Spain sounds wonderful, want someone to carry your bags
QuiltE it is so nice to have you back chatting, missed you when you were busy with your commitments
JanRN I would rather do Y seams all day than have another colonoscopy,

QE--the $200 difference is on a new vs. used price for a 7700, but still $1200 more than the 6600 used price, so I just have to see how things go this spring money wise. Wasn't prepared for $2000 for a machine, so have to think very hard about it....and of course discuss w/DH to keep things good in the house and not just the clubhouse.
Thanks for the table links. I am thinking I want a full table. I have a sew-ezi table (http://www.seweziusa.com/) that I use now and is great to take to retreats, but with a heavier machine don't think I want to use that all the time.
Mirabelle, I too dream of owning a longarm. I don't have space for one either...maybe someday. We don't plan to move, but could build something if needed.
I made some good progress on my BBs today...all the fabric is sewn on the paper...trimming the last of them tonight and then will be sewing blocks together tomorrow. YAY! I can't wait to see what everyone is coming up with!!! I'll be sure to let you know when they arrive in my hands.

I had a rough night last night. DGM, (the one who used ta own my Brady house) went ta the emergency room. She fell again. She has fallen 5 times since Christmas. This time she is hurtin'. Nothin' is broken. but she is in a lot o' pain. The x-ray revieled that she has a piece o' broken off arthritis, in her hip, that is lodged in some o' her ligaments. The ER Dr. thinks she needs PT. I really hope she does it. We got home at 5:00am. We were there for 12 hours.

Oh dublb, so sorry about DGM! It is amazing that she has not broken something - falling five times in less than two weeks!!! Does she have someone taking care of her? If not, sounds like that is something to look into.

MiraB ... Many thanks for your kind words ... I love this place here. Can you say addicted, a tad? Have fun shopping for your new Home Sweet Home! When there is no rush, you have the luxury to take your time and get to know the market .... and then when the right one comes, at the right price, you'll be ready to "pounce"! I somewhat did that when I bought this home. Some thought I moved too fast, but they had no clue what I'd been doing before I saw this one. Almost ten years later ... and absolutely no regrets!!!
CarrieM ... yes, heavy table is what you want for the heavy machine! the surface size is a comfortable size for working on. When quilting, I have another table that catches the bulk of the quilt from the back ... and another at the left side. I can see an addition to the clubhouse in the future!!
DublB ... so sorry about your DGM. Better keep an eye on your DM as well. Trying to care and watch your DGM will be wearing on her strength too.
Computers and Printers?? ... OK, so I am giving in and will be heading out to "deal" with the issue. Too many problems the last couple of weeks, and better to do the transition when I am quieter with work/business stuff. Wouldn't want to have to deal with it all when I was under a lot of deadlines. So .... Any suggestions? I'll also bite the bullet and get myself a colour printer at the same time. For the Printer, I know I need pigment ink ability for printing on fabric, inkjet, separate colour/black cartridges. After that I know so little as to what I am looking for. So your input/suggestions are most welcome!

Good suggestion, JeanieG ... never even thought about double sided printing!!
I know everyone who has a Mac seems to love it ... but I won't be going there DublB ... just too big of a learning curve for me. More so, when I have no one at hand to help me start or along the way/
