Thanks Nina for your wise words! Every day I find at least one reason to smile And yes, I did enjoy your stories!

On the Bram and Isa front all is quiet! Still no news, everything is the same. Bram is trying to breath on his own again.
Tomorrow I will go to the hospital with my DS and DDIL so I will be here tomorrow night again.
Sleep well and have a great Saturday!

Wonderful news, Anael. Enjoy your time with them tomorrow. Honchey...can't wait to see the questionnaire. Right now I'm kind of at a loss to specify colors, styles, etc. All quilts have their beauty! I took a break this afternoon and just stroked the BBs. Haven't come up with a plan for putting them together yet though. It has to be unique because of those that made them.

Pet those BBs ladies ... they've been in captivity for awhile and need to be revived!

    QNSue ... you tease!!!!!!!!!

All ... once we have the reveal, I'll tell you more about the story behind the BBs that I made! And chances are you will have some to share yourselves!

Honchey ... hope you can sit a spell and let yourself get reivived!

That's exactly what I am going to do ... I've been on the go all day and right now I feel so out of it and outright pooped.

QuiltE as to your enquiry, did I always sew a lot. Not much up until 1986. Before that I did a lot of knitting and crocheting. But when we moved to the Northern Territory in 1985 I found it was much too hot to knit, (haven't worn a jumper or cardigan since). I was very lonely and the only people I knew were my in-laws and my MIL didn't knit, crochet or sew...So when I saw an advertisement for a patchwork class I jumped at the chance to learn something new, meet some people..
I fell in love with it straight away, the first class I did was a Puff Quilt or it can be called a Biscuit quilt, no quilting just little stuffed pockets of fibrefill. That led me to the old favourite Log Cabin and I haven't stopped since. I met my best friend and we have been patchworking together ever since.

Back then my DH and I were running our own business and Sunday afternoon was MY time, so for a couple of hours I would just sit at my machine and sew like mad. It definitely saved my sanity living in such a remote part of the country. When we moved back to Queensland in 2004 DH said "why don't you retire", definitely didn't argue with that. But that led me to living in another small town knowing no one, children grown up, DH away at work for a week at a time, my friend living in the southern part of our State. So now I spend my days making Snuggle quilts for children in hospital and quilts for my family. The patchwork group I joined are about an hours drive for me as the only patchwork group in this town have been together for over 20 years and newcomers are not wanted, which is a shame.

I am sure I don't have to explain my BB blocks, you could all guess the reason behind them

And another "tease" is lobbed on the Aussie BBs!

Oh I remember those puff/biscuit quilts .... when I go to our nearby Menno country, they still make them and sell them in their shops! Good for you for finding your way (years ago now!) back to sewing and quilting! I know what you mean about it helping to keep your sanity. I am such a different person when I am given "enough" sewing and me-time. That being said in a positive light!!

Obviously, there's a genetic factor there with your DD's love of it too!

Mirabelle, I am familiar with the 'biscuit' quilt experience since we did that some too, but never completed a whole quilt top. I also tried your tutorial on the 4x7 inch sewn together, then cut 1 1/2 inches from the four seams to form a new block and showed that to my bf who was visiting; she took the idea home and started on a quilt of it today....had 13 squares done before she discovered my right and left brain err...and she had to rip some of hers out.

I sewed a pink/rose pieces of fabric on top and the reverse on the bottom, but on 3/8 I reversed the top...to rose/pink. So she knew where she got the err from...it was my left/right brain err birthing itself again!!

Thanks, Anne, for trying; do get a good night's rest tonight.

I think it was MiraB's D4P, using rectangles, instead of the standard squares.

What ever will be, will be, K sera said the old song of Doris Day...'tis the way of life. Dublb. Thanks for the thought, that was the important thing. Thanks.

The 4 x 7 inch squares was a tutorial by Mirabella back in our discussion...she pictured the instructions very well. (About page 140 or was that 160) Tomorrow will try to show a photo of my results on line.

My D4P is on page 142 and is Post 1412, hope that helps QNS and Honchey. It is a really quick block to make.

Received the questionnaire now I am absolutely confused and befuddled as to what to choose. My DD said no to my first choice, she said you always say !!!!!!! not giving it away Will think about it tonight and answer the questions tomorrow. This is very important stuff

Update on Bram and Isa: Bram did quite well last night. They had to adjust his oxigen once but he settled down again. Isa is not doing so well. Sheīs quite sick from the infection and the nurses called a surgeon and the neonatologist last night. Sheīs back on antibiotics and now she has a line in her head. Itīs not nice to see, I know because her dad had it too when he was in the incubator.
    CU all tonight again.

MiraB ... I think your DD must be whispering in my ear, as I have been thinking of going to something that is so not normal for me.

    Anael ... Thoughts, Prayers, Wishes and the all important {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Honchey ... you're going to be right up there in Saint-hood, once you consolidate all this info!

QuiltE, you're the first person that has me & Saint-hood in the same sentence!!!!!

It's really not so difficult!!! copy & paste is a wonderful thing!!!

I copy & paste the info into an email...save it as a draft...will send it to myself...then forward to edit out all the double spacing and then send it to everyone including myself...easy peasy....

I have made a chart with everone's names and who they'll be assigned to for every month...believe me it's much easier than doing the rotary instructions for the first FWS.

That was your first step to Saint-hood, doing all those rotary instructions.
Keeping with it thru FWS then PC and now the PCMR (PC Mystery Riders) ... is that what we are calling this? OK, I'm already lost!!

I laughed ... I send emails to myself all the time, and some of those are reminders to do something. Love being able to delay sending it according to the need. And have just cut and pasted the questionnaire into an email .... and sent it to myself!

As for your proofreader, better fire her for not suggesting to include a return deadline date!
Time is of the essence for we International Cowgirls!!
Though for the first one, I know we'll all be keen and have them done and mailed long in advance!!!

Where are we going to be posting our PCMR blocks and talks. Are we going to use this thread? If we start a new thread, that will open it up to lots of new "riders"??? Did I miss that topic in all the chatter? Being that I was gone most of the week, I may have!

Anne, I think QuiltE had the right of it; Saint hood and your name should be linked in the same sentence. Now, for Mirabelle's tutorial yielded this for me:Name: Mirabelle'spattern.JPG
Views: 113
Size: 63.7 KBFour pieces of fabric sewn together, the cut 1 1/2 from the two seams each way upper/lower, right/left on each side of the seam lines up the second block sewn into place. She did an excellent job of explaining it, mine is a shortened version to show the difference...except when my right brain side lets the left brain control it and the rose and pink traded places on three...I had to rip it out!! LOL!!

    Nice work QNS!

Bram was restless today and his oxigen needed a lot of adjustment. Isaīs leg has a nasty infection, the surgeon is going to see her tomorrow again. Her belly is swolen, they made an X ray this afternoon. We didnīt hear from that yet. With Isa thatīs the biggest concern right now, with Bram itīs still his fungus infection. They both had trouble keeping their body temperature and were tucked in nice and warm.

Beautiful block QNS, don't worry I had to reverse sew a couple too, I think the trick is not to move it once you have it cut.

JeanieG we are going to continue to use this thread for our mystery ride, I think Anne explained it in her PM to you.

Anael prayers and hugs coming your way...

Now I have decided on my mystery so I am off to PM Anne with all the details
