No dinner for me mirabelle, it's breakfast time here!
Beautiful sewing cabinet OK! Nothing left from the old days here. I have no idea where it's gone, I guess it's sold or traded in for newer stuff.

No phonecalls last night so Bram and Isa are 2 weeks and 5 hours now!
I need to make more hats today, back to the sewing machine!

Love Roast Pork, Mirabelle, and all the trimmings. How do you fix yours? Love the cake recipe, Jeanie. will have to try it soon. Never heard of a pastry blender when I was growing up...DGM used a Tablespoon. After we were married, I saw MIL using one, and questioned her about it....she thought I was really a beginner in the kitchen!!

Beautiful sewing cabinet, OksewGlad. I have my DG's treadle sewing machine; had given it to oldest daughter, but she was moving about so much, she gave it back to me. Someday I will get the cable replaced and sew with it again.

Wonderful news about the twins, Anael... love hearing all the good news. When dgs was born, they wrapped him all up in blankets until the poor guy could not move at all; guess that was the modern way, but me, I hated it.

Everyone have a good day!!

OK--that is a nice sewing cabinet, hope the machine works well for you. I have my great grandma's treadle...singer in a pretty cabinet. It isn't locked up. We bought a belt for it, but have never put it on. I always say that if we ever lose power for an extended period of time at least I can keep sewing!

Mirabelle--thanks for the pork roast...yum!

Hi Everyone, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.... I could not get online and when I did I could not send anything....it was very frustrating to say the least....I have missed so much of the goings on here... first off I have finished the bbblocks and only have to sign them....I really bit off more than I could chew with them.....

I would also like to contribute to the flannel brigade and the $$$ will be in with the bbblocks.

Jan, your quilt turned out beautiful and makes me want to gather my blocks and start putting them together...

I haven't read all the pages of posts yet but I did happen on the page where Laurie signed on...Welcome!

There's so much going on I don't know where to start... I, too, feel like you Jan...It's like we've come to the end of the road and don't know which way to turn....sitting there waiting for something to pop up...What's going to pop up??? Well, right now I'm going to the last post I made and start from there...I will check in later...H.

Made a road trip yesterday to my aunt's estate sale. Brought home a couple of lovelies! This Martha Washington Sewing table--finish is beautiful. Pic shows a dusty top. And an Vintage Singer ($20). Serial number says it was made in 1928. Now to check out how it really works! Last hour drive home was snow covered roads so I am ready to call it a day! Will post more on the Singer later.

Dublb---sorry you're not feeling well and Turtle too...at least you can relax together.

Honchey--great to hear from you! I am excited to see your BBs for real! I am sure the pictures didn't do them justice!!

I have laundry started and the kitchen mostly cleaned up. Off to work in the clubhouse for a little bit before archery practice. Archery goes through February, State is the first weekend in March and then we get a month off archery before practices for Nationals start.

Some very good news: Bram is breathing on his own! The ventilator has been shut down, tubes are still in but he's doing it all by himself! What a boy Scares the *** out of us two days ago and look what he's doing now!
I'm going to my DS and DDIL tonight, will be back later!
