QNSue ... oh dear! That must have been a fright for the two of you.

Honchey ... I had just thought it;d be nice to show off the completions a little more, to the rest of the world! Kind of likely our separate weekly photo and discussion threads were. Them's the rules! so I will accept them.

DublB ... Good thing to know ... though I don't have any old machines to ruin with WD40! I'm intrigued by them, but don't really have the interest to work on them. I remember all too well my Mother "fighting" with her machine when she had problems with it, and wouldn't have the patience, I am sure!

Two more blocks ... and I have enough for my PC quilt top. However, that won't be the end, as I'll be making some spares to swap in and out when I do the placements. Plus I have some that are OK, but rejected for the "official" PC quilt ... so yes, there'll be a second one with them!

QuiltE, I had your FWS in mind when I thought about dark green sashing I tried to follow the colours of the original quiltblocks but I guess all together it's a bright quilt and most with WOW background. I didn't use the same background in all blocks, now I wish I had So I might make another one!

Good morning, ladies. Thank you, Anne, for leading this lost PC rider back to the trail. Got a little lost there for awhile. Not been a real good couple of weeks here in JanRN land. Offer on house never materialized; I've spent a lot of time cleaning and staging trying to improve the possibility of an offer. The house is 100 yrs old, my mother lived there for over 60 yrs. Altho the house has all the newer mechanicals and is structurally sound, it looks like a house a 90 yr old woman lived in. People want a totally remodeled house and that's not going to happen.

I've also worked a lot of extra days. Big FART coming up at the end of March--International Quilting & Sewing Expo in Cleveland. This is one place I don't put a spending limit on myself (rarelly do anyway LOL) but this is an all day, once a year trip with all the latest & greatest in fabric, gadgets, machines, etc. My friend drives her big, bright orange van (can't miss it in parking lot) and we make frequent trips to the van to stash away our purchases and go back and get more. On the way home last year people behind us must have thought they were following Fred Sandford's junk truck--we were packed to the roof!

Wow--203 pages and over 2000 posts. Love you guys!!! Thanks for your concern. Hope to be back in the saddle and all caught up soon. Peace.

Jan....so happy to hear from you and sorry that these past couple of weeks have been a struggle. I watch a lot of home improvement TV in the afternoon and love what the Property Brothere do. Too bad you can't find someone in your area that does that sort of thing that could find you a buyer at a decent price. Someone that can pitch the rehab and hold the buyers hand through the entire process. A house with good bones needs to loved that way.
Hummm....tomorrow is March 1. We can start mailing the mystery blocks, right?

Hi Everyone...The sun is shining here and I hope all of you are doing ok!!!!

DD the pups are such cute balls of fur..of course you have to keep one!!! sad about the Gma tho...

Dublb, I also collect sewing macjhines...Dh has told me no more!!!!

QuiltE..I really don't want to expand this thread..we're nice and snug here..not ruffling any feathers if you understand what I mean...PM me if you need to..

QNS, fires??? what a horrible experience !!..

GGal. No, we don't mail until after the 15th of the month...You are probably biting at the bit to send but not yet..

And Jan, so glad to see you here ..words cannot say how happy I was when I saw you post...
remember..all of you.. to PM or email if you need to...

We put it out to the County Land Preservation that we might consider selling our property and they repied by phone that they are VERY interested and now the ball is in motion...they will be notifying us by mail of their interest...No $$ discussed yet..They know the price has to be right or it's a no go...I have very mixed emotions right now about it...We've been here for 44 years and it's been in the family for about 90 yrs... moving forward..if all goes well we'll be in Delaware as well as North Carolina...BUT, DH says we have to be at least a 1/2 hour away from my sister
and this time I will make sure the extra room is big enough for all my sewing stuff!!!!

I'm going out now to get a hair cut...I'll be checking in later...H.

Anael ... Nothing wrong with bright. In fact, you have really influenced me on wanting to do white work!

JanRN ... I'm with you on not re-doing a home to sell, despite what realtors say. Hopefully with spring (it IS coming!) there'll be more action. Look forward to that FART trip ... I remember hearing of your adventures last year! Take care!!!!

DDamsel ... Yea for your BBs. Are you going to use the black? or just for showing them to us. Wiggly (as you said), cuddly, fluffy and oh so adorable are the puppieeeeeeeees! Of course you MUST keep one of the babies, just to keep your numbers the same. And a sweet little DSD.

Honchey ... oh no, I am not wanting to ruffle feathers! All is good!
I'm sure it's hard to consider selling your home with all your personal history there, as well as the length of time in the family. As you've already identified, there is a positive, in that you could "choose" the right place and make your personal sewing sanctuary, just as you'd like! Good Luck, as you progress with this change.

DD - Your BB from me was the only one that I made special. Did ya notice all o' the barbed wire in your TX? LOL I just had ta. Those puppies are soooooo cute! Ya do need ta keep at least 1.
Jan - There are some people who like the old houses (like me.) Surely there is a group that can help ya market your DM's house.
Hounchey - DH has threatened ta "cut me off" in regards ta my machines. He did go w/me ta git this one. What he doesn't want is more cabinets. "Where are ya gonn' put it?" is what he always says. LOL I did come home & tell him about it before I bought it. It helped that I just gave my other 401A & it's cabinet ta my apprentice a few weeks ago.
