So sorry this happened to you. Sure wouldn't pay the woman for not completing a task, any way you can stop payment on the check? It is way too large a task to undertake so I'd seek someone willing to complete the job properly.
That is all of no help whatsoever, but I hope you find someone to finish it for you. I'd be a very ticked off person.

Sounds like a claim for small claims court to me. How can someone give you a quote and not only not stand behind it but demand more money to boot? I think I would be doing a lot of "advertising" for this woman if it were me. I guess we're all too honest on here to do that. Good luck on finishing it.

If
If you can get it flat on a very large table or two church tables, you might be able to quilt it by putting the outside edge to the right of the needle, and machine quilting it in sections, within the outlines she has quilted already. Just practice a bit, and match the color of the top and bobbin thread she used.
I think, if you can get someone to help you by holding it, sitting in a chair close, you will indeed be able to get er done!

I guess I will practice all this week and try to get er done.
Thanks for all your concern and remarks.

Excuse me but My question is why did you pay $50more and it was not even finished? And $50 more than what? But if she under quoited you that is her problem not yours. Hope you get ti all figured out. But best if you can find someone else to finishe it but it was already stretched on her frame and will be hard to get stretched the same on another machine.... Good luck

If the quilt wasn't finished, she shouldn't have gotten paid anthing extra! She scammed you!! That is AWEFUL, I hope she is NOT on here! Did you get your quilt back? I would have only paid her for the work she performed, nothing extra unless she requested it day one!! That is sad, send "Charismah" a PM and mabe she can walk you through some steps to get this done. She is a FABULOUS LA Specialist, (I say she is)! You can look up her name in the search at the top, and look at the pictures she has quilted for others. I know she can help with some instructions, since that so called quilter scammed you!! HOW SAD, KARMA is ...
