It's fun to read what everyone is doing and working on. This week so far I have not bought anything. But I'm on my way to a LQS to drop off a quilt to be quilted. I will try to keep it down to 2-3 items to buy. I'll post later on how I do.
Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!

I am actually working on FMQing a patriotic Row Robin. The border is quilted but the center is giving me fits. Good grief is it ever so difficult to rip out quilting stitches. Yikes. Part of what I have done has a little bit of tension issues but I think I will leave it. Looks OK on the top - see the pokeys on the back. Oh well. Maybe it will all ease a bit in the wash.

Florence - I went off the wagon big time when our quilt store closed. Now the nearest one is close to an hour and a half away from here. Still seem to fall off the wagon sometimes. There is always hope. Fall off jump back on.
Martina- Sorry about the FMQing trouble. They are hard to unstitch.

From what I can tell, everyone is doing just fine. I don't think buying a fabric that will enable us to use more of our stash is really falling off the wagon. At least that is my story and I'm sticking to it! I live about 160 miles from a JoAnn's so never use coupons. But there are plenty of places on-line that I can use to get into trouble!
The quilt frame arrived yesterday. It is in a jillion parts and came earlier than I expected so I have to clear out a space before I can even begin to think about putting it together. Clearing the space will be tomorrow's project and then it will probably take me several days to actually get the thing together. I should be excited, but right now I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm sure the excitement will come when the frame is up and the machine on it.

I realized today that my machine does not like to FMQ backwards. That's an easy fix - don't do it. It means I have to turn the quilt more or have more starts and stops. Oh well. I am still making progress and I am not in any fabric store.

Good day to everyone. Currently watching the Girls soccer game, USA vs Japan.
I did fairly well well on my visit to lqs. I only bought backing for top I finished today. I bought steam a seam2 for my Sunbonnet sue swap. Then I bought the row by row block kit. I had wanted this kit, b/c it's depicts the bridge between Ks and MO which I drive a few times each month. All items were what I had intended to buy.

Once I realized what my machine's limitations are, I just work around them. It means turning the quilt more but heck, that's a small pain compared to ripping stitches.

I needed some solid fancy fabrics for my crazy quilt but since I have a project going the purchase is ok. It's only in it's planning fabric buying stage so I could be in trouble.
