I'm not being entirely consistent using the same fabrics in each clue. Some blacks that didn't work well in clue #1, did work in clue #2 and 3, and some blues that didn't pair well with pinks in clue #1, I plan to use in clue #4. If you're pretty sure you will need more neutrals, I would say, start working them in now. I imagine the various clues will be spread throughout the quilt, and no one will notice.

I ran out of a couple of the neutrals I was using. I added in some that were as close as possible in color and style and am hoping it will work out OK. I Also have a few to finish from each step so have been able to work them in a bit.

There isn't much neutral used in clue 4 at all. It took very little to cut those hst pieces. But if you think you need more I'd start working them in as early as you can.

I have finished Clue 4... here are my broken dishes #2 and #3, side by side.

I really think that everything we have made so far will be scattered through the quilt with the possible exception of the clue #3 could be edges or corners...................it certainly is a mystery !

I had noticed the preponderance of Sue's/Susan's/Suzi's etc here on this list!!

BTW my "full" name is Susan Marie Graciella. I have two middle names.

As a kid I never liked my name, but now I actually do (I prefer Sue or Susan - NEVER Susie or Suzanne). As a kid I wanted a more elegant/cosmopolitan name like Veronica, Gabrielle, or Sofia. It could have been MUCH worse ... I could have been named Philomena after my mother!!
