It is the month of the all Iowa Quilt Shop Hop; and today we (Quilter 65) drove 430 miles adn stopped at seven shops. And we are just half done in our area. Wow. What a great day it was. Yes, I found the right blues for the Blue Rose quilt, I found my 8 blues for the log cabin quilt. I am tired, so good night to everyone.

Show and tell time: Labyrinth Walk...black, Charcoal Grey and light Gray...$7. a yd.; Two pieces that matched the Blue Roses. I will continue the white and blue around the other 68 roses. Square in a square in a square.
Log cabin choices...I hope I posted the right one last...not sure with one eye what posted here. dark center that works its way out to light so I can sew light side of blocks together and have a lighter background....I think.

I think first and last is the same; the middle one is my choice. Tried to delete last but could not. Sorry the first photo is fuzzy, guess I shook my hands as the camera clicked on it.

Thanks OK, the colors in the first kit did not appeal to me. Ladies at It's a Stitch in Jefferson made some wonderful suggestions. Then I found one light blue in my stash and substituted it. See how it works out tomorrow when I start making the blocks. Should go fast, I think...I hope. So many others to finish!
I did notice the Iowa Dot is hard to work and detours everywhere. Quilter 65 navigated the roads very well around detours.

That will be fun for you to use that purse!
Those blue fabrics look so royal. Lovely!
I'm glad shots helped you girls. I just don't like to go to the doctor. I cannot imagine having such expensive health insurance. I could never afford that. I wouldn't have enough left from my paycheck to make ends meet.
I'm pluggin' away at this and that. Nothing far enough along to be worth taking a picture...

Lovely 'haul', Sue! Your blues are so pretty. Looks like you will have a lot of fun right away with your purchases.
I agree about that health insurance! I'd have to cancel it too. Who can afford that? Here there is a clinic owned by the dr. and you pay a subscription fee monthly, like $50, and you can go all you need to. Meds are sold there too and are cheap. It seems to be the wave of the future: Pay as you go medical care, and then insurance maybe only for the catastrophic stuff.
Givio, I don't like going to the doctor, either. I have been in pain with my back for years, procrastinating. Wish I went in sooner!

Just got my package from Thousands of Bolts... I ordered some beautiful Christmas fabrics, all $4.95 a yard! Thought you'd get a kick out of seeing my purchases.

Well SBG - what are you going to make with all this beautiful fabric. I have a lot of Christmas fabric that was given to me by my aunt, and I don't know what to do with it. I have a dresden plate tree skirt I made years ago!
