ok, so next time ill put in a few more details with the pix! This is part of the table set I made for my DD for Christmas-late! I used the simple, sew-on-either-side-of-the-seam-allowance that ASimpleLife showed earlier to machine quilt it. I think that method really set off the geometric pattern for the runner and 4 placemats.
Thanks so much to Tartan's directions in the QB Help section for step by step help to post these pictures.

Great finishes QltrSue!! I might have something to share at least on the sister thread before the month is over...hoping to get out to sew a bit this afternoon.

Great work Sue! The quilt looks so vintage and the placemats look so modern, you must have been feeling very different on the days you started those two.

I finished my January goals. It helped that I had 4 days that I could sew because there wasn't any school and, therefore, no subbing for me because of the extreme cold.
6 baby quilts from donated tops that I sandwiched, quilted, and bound(pillowcase, separate binding, or from the back)
5 tote bags for Sadie's Dream for a Cure
Finished 1 top that measures 60 by 63 and will be finished by my church group
Fringed and tied 2 fleece blankets for a fall charity event
Cut approximately 20 pieces of material from my MIL's stash to put in 4 quilt kits. I still have a lot of her material to cut before I can sew any of the patterns except the braid/brick one that I can work on as I cut.
Whew! I am tired! I will not put that many things on my February list.
