well, I spray painted a hand crank blue metal flake, to go on a clone that it blue. But, I think the blue is too blue.So I'm going to try again, silver. I keep looking at the hand wheel, deciding if I have the guts to notch it. It has a silver rim around it, so it will be a challenge. Can't believe that with all the machines I have I don't have a spoked handwheel hanging around.
I broke a bone in my foot (long story, not interesting, something about getting older). So, I discovered that while I can drive a car left footed, I cannot work a motor control left footed. So last night I used the treadle, today i am thinking hand crank. Good to have options! Laura

I wish I had room for this one - reasonably priced and such a cute cabinet! I love the cabinets with the maker's name on them! Look at that middle drawer! So cute! Also, the foot pedal!

I have this exact machine. It is very good for FMQ or just regular sewing. I hate that shipping is so much for the machines. I hope somebody can rescue it. I got it myself, because my first car, a 1973 Cutlass Supreme, was that exact same color, with the little red accents, and chrome. LOL Even my husband understood it when I put it in car talk.

Nancy thanks for the info on the machine capabilities. I will never hold back again I promise. I really thought that all of you knew that the clear coat to protect the decals from the factory was Shellac. That is all they had back then and it was mention in on of Billy"s tut. Sorry. But being an old furniture restorer I take things for granted and just think every one should know these things. I forget the I have been doing this for 40 + years so please forgive me. It will not happen again.

I will be posting the tut in a week when I return from camping and fishing so get all you materials together. Lots of cotton rags(old white T-shirts or mens underware, tighty whities) Linseed oil and denatured alcohol, and maybe a little shellac(clear) Now I am leaving in the am to catch some fish.
