New Home and Singer have different base size and different pin distances.

What model of Singer?
The one I'd really like to put in it is the 27. It's in a cabinet but the cabinet is very "loose". Maybe I should just have DH tighten things up.

So, of course I pick up my pace. The lady was selling it for $10 without the power cord; it did have the foot petal cord. She was very apologetic that it didn't have the cord. I told her that is ok, I'll still take it. After I got home, I dug through my discarded motors box and pull out a cord with the correct adapter. I'm in business!

I thank whoever talked about the sewing lid holding the box of attachments. I really dig the way that contraption operates and tucks away nicely.

See Nancy, I now have two machines that I will not be treadling.

Your W&W D-9 was made before 1905 when Singer bought the company. It takes an obsolete 127x1 needle, altho there is a Schmetz needle now that will replace it. (You can get these on ebay)
That needle plate might be hard to replace, check with Billy, and if he doesn't have one, send me a PM, I have an email address for a guy that might. Dunno what the collar goes to...maybe Billy will?
I think I have the Needle plate out in the studio. It is a really nice looking machine and you will love using it. Just remember it runs backwards from what the Singers run.

The Singer 9W handwheel "throws" too Billy, instead of pulling toward you...took me a few when I first got mine to figure that one out!

And no matter how hard you try a Singer cabinet will not fit the New Home Treadle or a Wheeler and Wilson.

Looks like just the slide plate and foot.

Yep I found that out the hard way too. I have a 9W that I am putting in my Red Eyes treadle that I just sold out of my collection this week.

It looks like a 404, I have the same one. It also says it above the stitch length lever.

This decal is called "Red Lilies", I think, and yours is quite beautiful. I have one like it and love it. I don't remember for sure, but think it takes a regular 15 x 1 needle.

She is gear driven machine and has everything she needs but a needle. The one needle with her is broken. The shuttle is there and one bobbin. The bobbin winder rubber is not good, but no surprise there. I never thought I would find such a beautiful machine. There is a celuloid tag on the wood that has been cleaned at some time and the lettering wiped off. I am trying every way I can to see what it says. This is what I think I can see so far:
M-- DUNN --S
NEW ITI ----------YNE
The first line is bigger lettering. The second line is smaller and I am not sure that any of those letters are correct. It is probably the dealer that sold the machine. Any ideas, anyone???

My books show a 12x1 or a Boye 23 but it may not show all of the F&R's. I hope it does take a 15x1 that sure would make life a lot easier for her!

Nope, you're right. I just went and took mine out to make sure, and now I have to put it back in. Dang!! At least it's not a needle that's too hard to find.
