You may remember I got a 128 with a case that was antiqued with red paint several months ago. I showed you before and after pics of my refinish job. I was going to stencil the singer logo back on but never got around to it. But thanks to the Quiltdoctor aka Tx Jan she made me a wonderful decal for it. I have no idea how she made this water decal but I want to show you her wonderful work.

Nancy, I've never used the bight control and I do get skipped stitches with the 319's if sewing on something with too small a needle. What size were you using? I'd go with a larger needle and see if that helps. I don't thing the bite area does anything...or at least that I've ever noticed. I've gotten skipped stitches with some of my various other vintage machines for the same reason. I have much better results with a bigger needle in these, especially when I'm sewing through 5 layers of fabric when putting on a binding.
Glenn, the cabinet "Candace" sits in is complete now - the flip top is screwed back on! I love my 319w, I just hope I can figure out why she doesn't want to play with me! Glenn, do you have any problems with your 319's stitches? What size needle do you use?
Anyway, you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

PS Charlee paint away! That cabinet is very lucky to have you whatever color/paint you use!

I use 12, 14, or 16. If 12 isn't going through then maybe a 14 is in order. How many layers are you sewing through? Kind of odd...if you look at the stitch out I made for you with the decorative stitching there's no skipping. Though that's only a single layer of material with probably a 12 needle. You probably will have to use some of the heavier needles to punch through multiple layers. Hope this helps.
Candace what size needle do you use in the 319's? I only have size 80/12. As you know this machine takes a special needle, so I will have to order some more if the 80/12's won't work! I love the fact that the 319w does the decorative stitches, but I am glad I am using her decorative stitches only for finishing seams right now because the stitches don't show! I haven't had time today to play with her, been cleaning house and baking all day!

Oh, and Charlee, I can't wait to see what that creative brain of yours comes up with to paint on your cabinet, be it flowers, sewing stuff, whatever!

I hope everyone has A Happy Thanksgiving!!
I vote for the Hindeloopen! I had to google it-that's really cool! Neat how it echoes the fancier decals. If you can do that, you've got steadier hands than I do, that's for sure! Oh, and I found a quilt for you to aspire to-http://www.dutchquilts.net/shop/product.php?productid=14&cat=2&page=1 while I was googling.
