I just zig zag two pieces of battings together for the second time. First time they didn't lay flat; so, I re-cut to straighten out sections that were causing the problems. Now, I'm getting ready to baste. I'm making a lap size quilt with three of the paper-piecing stars that I made following the 50 Fabulous Stars BOM post. I used my 201 in treadle for the PP. This quilt will just have three of the state stars, giving it a modern look. Here is a look at the Ohio star.
I will be doing straight line quilting, using my Davis NVF for that.

I just did something I didn't think I could do. I fixed a Singer Merritt today. I picked it up for some parts - low and behold it needed a GOOD cleaning. There was a bobbin loose under it and it's thread got caught in the belt - locked up the machine something terrible. The lady took it to a repair shop and they told her it wasn't worth fixing. I got that all out, cleaned it up and away she sews. I like the nice wide zig zag that one has. WOW.

i am new to the quilt board. i love it . i just bought a G4820363 treadle machine we are cleaning and oil her up. think it needs a thread hold or the thing the thread goes on. can someone help me find one.
Billy, Lostn51, who started this thread probably has your thread quide or thread pin which ever you are missing. Cathy on this board probably has the part too.

Well friends of the shop, I just took a loaf of bread out of the bread machine and it smells so good. Come Join me for a cup of tea and hot bread and butter or homemade blackberry or peach jam. We can talk about our latest project. I am in the middle of sewing quilt rows together and need a brake.
