I'd like to find a complete treadle base with or without a top. I'm also wanting to built a MUT. But I haven't seen any around here.

(Senior discount) I had plugged it in at the store and it ran. After getting home I noticed it had had a Singer foot peddle put on it. That is plastic so I knew it wasn't the one that came with the machine.

The writing is in fancy lettering and as near as I can figure out it says
RH Macy & Co
??
New York

On the end of the arm it says " The Eldredge Rotary Manufactured by National Sewing Machine Co. Belvidene, Ill.

Now Charlee, you told me once what the feet we called for my "New Home" and this has the same kind. Please tell me again so I can write it down this time and then I can forget where I put it!!!

Got to find a needle for it (I hope) and see if I can figure out how to thread it. Then if it works will try to sweet talk hubby to build a case for it.

If any of you know anything about this machine please let me know.
What a cute little - very heavy - machine you got for $8! That machine looks really clean! I bet it sews great too!

My newest attachment purchase from ebay arrived today. I sort of rolled the dice that this would fit my various Davis Underfeeds and they did. The cylinder shuttle, marked Davis, turned out to be in nice shape and will fit my Vertical Feeds as well. Needles included were 2 Davis Longs and 2- 20x1's. Most likely this set came with a Davis Minnesota SM.

Should provide hours of fun working on my hemmer skills.

Jon
Ok Jon, we want to see what you hemmed or practiced hemming!

I have (3) 301s. A mocha long bed and a mocha short bed and a very nice 2 tone. The long bed is in a case the other two have cradles. My sister has 2 or 3 too - I think she got a couple black. I'm not keeping mine. I like my clone better.
Hummmmmm, I have been on the look out for a two tone 301! There is a gal that comes to our Wednesday night Strip Club who uses a two-tone 301 - it is just soooooo cute! Besides, since my friend took one of my mocha 301's I only have one 301 - a long bed mocha!

Candace, geeze last I heard you only had three 301's! Geeze, you are a collector of 301's! I can't blame you - I had a hard time parting with my second 301, but my friend has been wanting one for a long time! I felt very selfish having two when I knew she wanted one! Besides, I can only use one at a time, but the grandkids like using that machine too! Have you gotten them all locally or from e-bay? If my mocha 301 falls apart, I will be knocking on your door!

There's a tube with 2 Boye 8 needles, 2 Boye 17 shuttles (Laura says they work in the Davis NVF!), and a Boye 21... let me know if you need any of these! He also found me another cabinet key for a treadle...AND!!!!

This! It measures 11 1/2 inches tall by 8 3/4 inches wide. Not off of treadle irons that I can see...the only "ground" spots I can find would be the sprues where they poured the hot iron to make it. I had been telling him that I wanted to find advertising to decorate the sewing room with, and he saw this so he brought it home to me!!

Charlee, what a nice guy your DH is! I love the Singer emblem for a wall ornament! I have been looking for more and more attachments, manuals, little things when we do yard/barn/garage sales! I use to just look for the machines, but I am looking and finding all kinds of 'little' treasures too now! So much fun!

Any machine can sit on a Singer base, but the top has to be modified/changed. Singers' and Whites are not interchangeable on a Singer treadle without putting a new top on to accommodate the White's shape and size.

I think I'll keep him!

Alan, from Needlebar thinks it may have come from the base of a Singer 13 treadle. He says that cutting the medallions out of the bases has become popular in Germany, and I can see in the photo he used for an example that it's a real possibility, even tho I can't find any grinder marks on it.

Heh! No matter, it looks way cool on the wall!!

All locally. Maybe the two-tone doesn't grab me as much because it's newer than all the rest.
