Wow, that's a great list Klue... you are doing such a good job of keeping everything organized and answering everyone's constant questions. I think your kind patience is really why I think I can actually do this with you all. I don't feel like anyone will be irritated by a lot of questions I'm sure to have. :) hehe

you don't have to worry about people getting upset over questions.

i'm sure 10 other people had the exact same question on their mind.

I plan on joining as well. I've been a lurker for a while... I have the software now and am debating on the color scheme. One question... where will the patterns for paperpiecing be located?

if you have the software you already have all the patterns needed right in the software.

i will be posting in the tute section of the forum each week the blocks/triangles that should be done for that week.

i will post a picture of the paper piecing sections for the people who have the book so they will know how to trace off the pattern from the book.

for the people who have the software, i will let you know if this pattern is from the standard block selection, the variations blocks selection, or a redraft that i did myself.

for the blocks that i'm redrafting to paper piecing i will up load the file to the forum and everyone who owns the software will be able to down load it right into their software and they will have the redrafts to keep forever (if they wish) and i will post a PDF file for the people who have the book so that they can have the new redrafted block pattern.

color scheme is the hardest decision to make. you might want to play around in the software for a while to get a feel for all your ideas.

it took me about a month to make a final decision and now i have 2 more janes in the back of my mind that i want to make too.

I love paper piecing and really appreciate all the work you are doing. Thanks in advance for all the blocks that you redraft! I can't wait to get started! It is so hard to decide on the color scheme - I like them all! That's a good idea to play around with the software... I better get busy... I love Christmas time but this year I am almost as excited for January - and let me tell you that has never happened!

I couldn't believe he even said that. He used to help build industrial factories and the equipment involved requires very accurate measuring so he should be able to look at a quilt and know how much the fabric measures and break it down...but maybe he isn't making the connection between wood or metal and fabric. Got me how he came up with that number. I don't think it helped that he was upset and I laughed in his face. I couldn't help it though. It just sounded so outrageous that I had to either laugh or gape at him stupidly.

Klue, what is a gal to do but love them anyway.
Maybe gotta love them anyway - but some days, LIKING them is a stretch.
men...can't live without them and it's illegal to shoot them

I decided not to reply the quote since it was taking up so much space, but here you go:

I have a heating pad, so need to warm anything on the DH
I never annoy him, but for some reason, he is constantly on my last nerve
e.g., came down this am. He arose at 6am to go riding. He asked me to set the alarm for him at 6am, but somehow he woke up on his own. Do you think he came over to my side of the bed to turn the alarm off before he left? Well, suffice it to say I had to listen to that [email protected]#$%^&* thing at 6am on a SUNDAY!! then, I stroll downstairs, come around the bend, to find his newspaper spread all over, and his breakfast bowl, empty sitting at the table. Looks like he just got up to use the potty. But no, he's gone and left this lovely mess for me. Oh, and last night, he had his parents over for dinner. I had signed up for a quilt class so wasn't going to be home. He actually spent half the day yesterday lamenting about having to go to the grocery store, and why wouldn't I do it for him?? nerve??? My last one is just about gone.

    Quote from my Mom:

It's not the mountains to climb that get one down,
it's the sand in one's shoes.

Translation - it's the "little" things that can get one's grundies into a major bunch.

It looks like in order to be kept informed that there are new messages I have to pop in and make a quick reply. I am kept in the forum for a few days then Nothing!
I am working on so many things before Christmas that it is starting to become overwhelming!
Today I have to finish a "Quilt for Kids" to get in the mail tomorrow plus I want to finish up two blocks for Boms and at least cut out three table runners for gifts.
    Everyone, Have a GOOD day!

You are so right Sharon. I call it the "sock on the floor" syndrome. You build up frustrations, and then finally, the sock is on the floor, and you blow a gasket!! We all know it's not the sock per say...
