The first one is my favorite, #12. I decided I wanted to something more with reverse applique, so decided to reverse applique the small hearts on this one. I like it. It was fun. There is at least one other (I think #28) I will do this on.

Thanks for the compliments, Lynnie. My blocks are 10". There's no way I would have even tried the 7" so I am in awe of those of you who are doing such a great job on them. All your blocks I have seen are beautiful. Even with the 10" blocks, the secret to those scrolls (IMHO) is very small stitches around the head of the scroll. I also read somewhere that when doing something that's curved on both sides (like the tails of the scrolls), you should do the smaller part first, so I try to do that by starting the scrolls just before the head, working the smaller part of the tail and then up the back side of the tail to where I started. It helped a lot when I started doing them that way.

I am looking at it kind of like a marathon. You know you can be in the front of the pack, but if you manage to cross that finish line you will be thrilled and have the feelings of a true accomplishment.
I tried to tell myself I couldn't/wouldn't be able to do this, but unless the sky just falls down, I haven't been able to keep myself away from any of it!
I am so enamored with all these blocks, this quilt, this sew along.
It's just so magnetizing and fun! I'm a really syrupy mousie and just plain ol' love you guys...it's going to be a fun run!!! ;)
