The first one is my favorite, #12. I decided I wanted to something more with reverse applique, so decided to reverse applique the small hearts on this one. I like it. It was fun. There is at least one other (I think #28) I will do this on.
Your scrolls are great how big are your blocks? My scrolls look nothing like yours I am making the 7 " blocks and the scrolls seem to be kicking my butt. Your blocks are great. Thanks for sharing

Lynnie, don't worry...when Elle sees it, she can delete your double since she is a Mod.

I'm doing the 7" and the scrolls kick my butt too!

Thanks for the compliments, Lynnie. My blocks are 10". There's no way I would have even tried the 7" so I am in awe of those of you who are doing such a great job on them. All your blocks I have seen are beautiful. Even with the 10" blocks, the secret to those scrolls (IMHO) is very small stitches around the head of the scroll. I also read somewhere that when doing something that's curved on both sides (like the tails of the scrolls), you should do the smaller part first, so I try to do that by starting the scrolls just before the head, working the smaller part of the tail and then up the back side of the tail to where I started. It helped a lot when I started doing them that way.

sweets...I will be the last man/mouse standing with a needle at the end, but I don't care!
I am looking at it kind of like a marathon. You know you can be in the front of the pack, but if you manage to cross that finish line you will be thrilled and have the feelings of a true accomplishment.
I tried to tell myself I couldn't/wouldn't be able to do this, but unless the sky just falls down, I haven't been able to keep myself away from any of it!
I am so enamored with all these blocks, this quilt, this sew along.
It's just so magnetizing and fun! I'm a really syrupy mousie and just plain ol' love you guys...it's going to be a fun run!!! ;)
