Ok! Happy Anniversary! Something great to witness, all those years together-- make sure to show the newlyweds you know that it can be done! :-) So, how young are you inside? About two decades ago I felt like I got stuck at 25, but lately with worse arthritis, I think I've aged to 35 or 45 inside. lol

We got to the right place at the time we were trying to achieve only to find out we were a day early and the Dr. was not there until tomorrow! So we make the trip again tomorrow and back to my hometown for a few things before Thanksgiving and come home to get it all ready for Thursday. Somehow I feel too old to travel in the fast lane all day. LOL! Take care.

They did get the place in #1DSis's neck drained today. We won't know the results for a bit. Yesterday the Dr was concerned that her sodium level was low. #2DSis was there today when the DR came in & she asked him why did the hospital have her on a low salt diet if her sodium was low? It was a "duh" moment for him. Sigh. Yes she has high blood pressure but it obviously isn't from the salt.

Well I went to DD's house this morning & helped her pull up the nasty carpet that is in her living room. The owner is gonna buy new flooring for that room if DD & DSonIL will lay it. We knew that the carpet was nasty but didn't realize that the floor underneath was nasty also. We truly thought the bad smell would go away once the carpet was gone. Nope there was multiple pet stains all over the plywood. There was even mold growing in those spots. We were spraying the spots w/bleach water when #2DSis called. She gave a report on #1DSis. Then I told her about how awful the floor was & she reminded us that Kills was what we needed to put down to stop the mold. I knew that but had forgotten it. So the rest of the afternoon was spent preparing the floor for Kills & getting it painted. Her IL's came in tonight. She will actually get the new floor down on the weekend but in the mean time that room doesn't smell like pee & mold. We didn't get the furniture moved back in & she will have to do that tomarrow.

Yikes Bev, that's a BIG job. I don't envy y'all....
Hope your sis can start to recover now that they have drained her neck.

We are hosting the family here for Thanksgiving and today was a marathon cleaning day. It took me about half the day just to organize and declutter the dining room, which is my sewing room the rest of the year. I had piles and stacks of everything, everywhere. Some stacks just had to go into the basement until after the gang leaves. I love how neat it looks. Saturday was our window cleaning marathon! Our house, being over a half buried basement, has windows that look like first floor inside, but they are second floor on the outside of the house. I literally risked my life up 15 feet on an old extension ladder, for clean windows! Hubby held the ladder at the bottom and I did NOT look down. I love my clean windows now, with beautiful views of the woods.

Sounds like preparations are happening here and there for Thanksgiving activities. I hope you all have a good day! I'm thankful for the fun I've had chatting with you all. Thank you, to each of you!

I put this first picture in the Charm Swapping thread, but I thought I'd add it here too for you guys to see. I used more of the pink and purple charms I got from the swaps. Another pink and purple quilt for another granddaughter! I plan to give it to her tomorrow. Also, a picture of my 'Cowboy' quilt. For the center block, I used one of the patterns from the guild that SBG and I were using for the trades of our 'plaidsy' blocks-- but instead of a red center I used a cowboy riding his horse. As the quilt grew bigger, I knew I had to add more cowboys... I found a cute print with various cameos for that! They are both twin sized quilts, although the cowboy one is longer.

Nope, I've downloaded Adblocker Plus and see no ads, ever!

Your quilts are gorgeous!! Love that granny square one, and the cowboy quilt just blows my mind! You have been so busy creating, lately!

OH Givo! Your quilts are just lovely! No ads here either as I have a Mac & it has wonderful pop-up protection.

I am back in Midland. Boy was that a rough trip. I am so very sore all over. 3 1/2 hours in the truck made it worse! I took a nap once we got to the hotel. A loooong nap. Sigh, I am still sore. LOL
We will meet up w/the family at Furrs Cafeteria for Thanksgiving Dinner. Then we will go to DM's house & spend time together. This is not our normal tradition. It will do this year.
I did go to the hospital this evening & spent a couple of hours w/#1DSis.

Happy Thanksgiving All, I have been following the post but have been too miserable this year to comment.

I had my knee replaced 2 weeks ago and I'm home recooperating..Haven't touched the sewing machine at all these past couple of months..I did get the bible book by Laurie and have browsed thru it..kinda challenging with all the Y seams.

Hope everyone enjoys the Turkey today..can't handle all the prep for a big dinner so it's Pot Roast and a store bought pumpkin pie.. Everyone ENJOY!

Oh so great to hear from you, Honchey. And pot roast and pumpkin pie is something to be thankful for! Hope the knee heals nicely...and no more pain and the sewing machine can whirr again.

Had a wonderful day at a cousin's home with half of our family...other half with their other families on the East Coast. A beautiful day here. All of MrOk's cousins (6) together for the first time in years! A Kodak moment...have a nice weekend...G
