Very nice packaging, Honchey. They all look like the same size, too. Afraid mine would not look that nice, especially, if I stayed up pass my bedtime.... and the chickens bedtime....always have been early to go to bed to sleep.

Carrie, you have many talents and skills; building buildings is not my thing, but it would be a handy thing to know. And your plans sound wonderful, perhaps we will see pictures later in the Spring??

Alas, I have been sewing up rows of PC quilt top this morning using the 'rippppppppppppping' more than I like and the seams where I joined slashing together is not all equal in the row, so as I join the rows together, either I sew a deeper seam or rip it out and sew again to match the next row. I will try again, I will try again, I will try again, if I said that enough to myself, maybe I can finish the PC top this month.

Thanks, everyone for the best wishes on our 47th anniversary. Two stubborn people too stubborn to anything but a life sentence of togetherness. Told dh I was as stubborn as him when we wed.

Yes, OksewGlad, I hope your bank appt went well; and you can have a good FART trip in the near future!!

CarrieM ... here's hoping that new med gives you some relief! PLanning it all out on paper will be the secret. What I did when planning my kitchen (that I sadly had to leave behind when I sold the farm ... I MISS IT SO!!) that might help you with your plans. As you do everything, start thinking of it as being in your new Clubhouse. Where would it be? What would be the most convenient spot? Is there a spot for it? How much space is needed? What height for your tables? etc. etc. The fold up stairs are nice, though can be a nuisance, when you pull them down ... will things be in the way. I'd be more apt to make them stationary, and plan around them ... you can do some great storage cubbies under stairs ... or could be a good set up for a work table with good lighting. Being that you can do the wiring ... over wire and over light the place! Easier to not use it later, than to be cursing that there is not enough lights or plugs. How EXCITING to be able to plan this getaway spot!

QNSue ... Patience! Better to deal with those little problems now ... than to ignore them and then later wish you had. Will make for another great quilt of memories for you!

Wondering ..... any new MB arrivals today?

For Labels, this is how I do the labels on the computer, then print them on treated fabric, I don't use the sewing machine on them at all. I place treated fabric on freezer paper then run them through the printer. Then sew on the back of the quilt, but on this one I will put on the front as an individual block. I have an SE, but that would be harder for me to do.

QuiltE, what a surprise! Your block arrived today, it's so gorgeous! I will use it for Isa's quilt and yes, the quiltblocks are all different so yours will fit in perfectly. Thanks so much!

Wow - busy thread again today.

My best wishes for Jan and QNS on their anniversaries!

Mirabelle - those strip quilts are so great and colorful for your nursing home residents.

QuiltE - I've got the top and side sashings on my PC Quilt. I'm also moving those blocks around about every time I go into my sewing room. I'm going to take a photo and put it on my desktop. I did that last time, and things that need changing, that you don't see right away, start popping out at you.

Mirabelle - I've got all the Quilting on the Square blocks on my computer. Thanks for the heads up that they will be taking them off the website. Maybe the Spike Your English BOM will be interesting, will have to check it out!

Anael - those baby outfits are darling! I can't wait to see them dressed up in all Grandma's finery!

Carriem I hope you are feeling better and the new meds allow you to get a good night sleep. DD does know I have made the butterfly quilt, but she has not seen a pic of it since before I put the borders on it.

JanRN Happy Anniversary to you and MrJanRN.

    Honchey mmmmmmm brittle my favourite

QuiltE no birthday plans with DD at the moment, her big day falls on Easter Sunday so no FART, (and really if you saw her stash she doesn't need any more fabric) I might drive down and spend the day with her. Will have to wait and see.

Anael have I missed something exciting, you received a block from QuiltE please share...or was I asleep when I was reading the chatter

How I wish there were elves sewing away for me at night or at least they could clean up a little Had my morning coffee so off the computer and back to quilting today, stay off the computer stay off the computer stay off the computer do you think that will work

Oh a perfect addition for the RV group, mirabelle--a sewer's elf--we all need one don't we?

GrannyQ--why do you use the special fabric for the label. Have you tried regular muslin on a piece of freezer paper for a label? I have and then ironed it well; wet it down and no running. Share your experience with us, please.

GGal we posted close to each other. Yes bank meeting went okay. I have to admit I do have all my ducks in a row when in comes to bookwork. Not just the day to day expenditures, but the year end tallies and financial ratios too. DH told one of the grands when they were grumping about have to help in the barn, that "everything you have is because of these cows, so we have to take care of them so they take care of us." No more grumping for the morning. Well I'm that way about my books--because timely accurate accounting pays in the long run and helps me take care of the cows! When you have a business you are always straightforward and honest, but especially with the banker.

Now how about a piece of cake hartelijk bedankt, Anael.

Happy belated anniversaries to QNS and JAN RN and their DH,s. Hope you all had a good time. QuiltE...Beautiful block! You are such a perfectionist. Glad you're making progress on the PC. Along with QNS and Jeanie. We're going to have some more eye candy soon! Jeanie...your idea about putting pictures of your quilt on your computer during the design phase. Pictures do capture so much. Mirabelle...such a drama queen...what a way to get a car! Love your sense of humor. Beautiful string quilt. You are so disciplined and set such a good example for all of us. Thanks!!! You could make quilts of all of our blocks hands down. Projects just seem to grow don't they? I think I missed something too when Aneal announced she received a block from Quilte. What's up you guys? Granny Q...I would love to have a label. That would be perfect for the BB finishing. Dubib...kicking butt is what happens when we plan beautiful blocks that challenge us but the effort will be appreciated by the recipient. Anael....you could be developing a new business..sewing for the NICU! That takes a lot of patience and love. Beautiful work for beautiful babies. I agree their little dimples and wrinkles are so cute! Thanks for the cake too. Great way to celebrate all over the world! You're so thoughtful. JanRN...recover soon from your trip to Cleveland and let us see what you came home with. OK...hope the bank meeting went well. Something I never enjoyed. Honchey...do you have a special tool to cut all of your squares? That's a lot of cutting! Carrie...I sure the new meds work. Sounds like once the walls are up, you can make the club house happen. What fun you have to look forward too. ME..today I mailed my MB to _______!!!! She'll have to tell you all about it. I also spent some time outside pruning the raspberries and cleaning up the asparagus patch. I'm ready for spring and today was perfect for a little early work. And oh, I almost forgot...here's a picture of the beautiful block from QNS. I thought I could post directly from Photo Stream but can't. I'll be back with it.

Size: 184.3 KB Thanks for your patience. It had taken me a long time to comment on all of your busyness and couldn't risk timing out. The picture doesn't do it justice. Sorry, QNS!

Main object here, GG, is to please you. IF that is done, then I am happy. Enjoy. My photos do not do justice to fabric or quilt lately. Bugs me.

Ggal--now you have a start on your pineapple quilt.

What a day I had!!! I sure love comin' here in the virtual RV. Sittin' around & swappin' stories , sharrin' our lives, drinkin' tea or coffee, & who's got the marshmallows????? We've got so much agoin' on! Thanks for the respite.
Happy anniversary's ta Jan & Sue!
Karen is your string quilt a QAYG??? It's just lovely! That yellow just pops!
Anael I love sharin' your twins & those PJ are ta die for! ( I will probably pray for the "Twins" for the rest o' my life. God knows what they need )
I really like GG's pineapple. Ya did great QNS!!
I just love hearin' about everybodie's PC quilts goin' tagether. How wonderful!
DH & I spent a lotta time crunchin' #'s taday. Then I took #2 DS ta the eye Dr. After I got home My DSis came over test drivin' a SUV. So DH & I went & helped her make a deal on it. (Well not that one, but one in better shape.) This was DH's Day off. LOL
Well I also worked a bit on my MB. When it was done I realized that I had scorched some o' the starch so I hand-washed it, ever so gentle. It shrank!!!! It is now 12 3/8"!!! I guess I'm gonna put a border on it. I have made this block before & it should have only taken 2 evenin's. Tamarrow it will be day 5!!! I wanted it ta be oh so perfect!! LOL At least
    I'm learnin' a lot!!

Pineapple was done according to the instructions that GG gave to us. Not so good was seeing 50% of what I was supposed to be doing. The first one I posted here, was not quite 12.5 inches square, so I made another one, watching closely to do a ''scan" 1/2 inch...it was better but not as big as it should have been. Hope GG can make them work for her. I also sent extra fabric of each, so she can do some her way, which is probably better than my sincere tries.

Yes, sitting in the virtual RV with pleasant company is very nice to imagine right now.

I have one more block to quilt I'm nearly there..

Bev it was quilt as you go, I keep all my strings in a box and when it is overflowing I make these blocks. quick and do they do use up a lot of scraps..

Time to cook dinner and if there is no good movie on tv tonight I will finish that last block and then onto the borders tomorrow. That gives me 5 days to finish the quilting, sew the binding on and do the hand sewing...I think I can I think I can I think I can.... I need a cheer squad

I'm making pizza tonight from scratch

Just went to my sewingmachine dealer and got a coverlock. It's a used one and I'm not too happy with how it's sewing. He told me to just try it and was sure I wouldn't like it LOL. Threading this machine is a nightmare, just like my serger This one is rather cheap, a new one is double the money but maybe half the trouble. So I have to think about what to do.

QNS, you did a beautiful job on the pineapple blocks. You & QE have set the bar high for our MBs.

Ggal, I'm going to keep you in suspense as to what I bought at the Expo--I'll just tell you the fabric will show up in my MBs. How many MBs are we making? I bought enough fabric to make about 50 or so LOL. Shop Hops are fun but my ideal shopping is tons of fabric all under one roof.

The hottest sellers at the Expo this year were the sit-down quilting machines. They had the Sweet 16 & Tiara (same machine) and one I had never seen before: TinLizzie 18 sit down machine. Yes, it has an 18" harp and you sew facing it like you do your DSM. With the Sweet16 you face the head of the machine. Not sure if there's an advantage to one or the other. Couldn't get near the TinLizzie--5-10 people deep all day and lots of orders being written up. Tried to get a price but couldn't even get that. They were selling lots of longarm set ups, too. I was amazed at the number of people waiting to sign up to buy them.

Jeanie, I checked out the Brother Dreamweaver. Beautiful machine but I thought the harp space was just average, no improvement over my Viking. I also wasn't impressed with the new Vikings. Believe me, DSMs were not the draw--everyone seemed to want the LAs and the sit downs.

We are actually having a sunny day today; weather guy said over the last 82 days we've had rain, snow, sleet, or freezing rain for 73 of them. No wonder people in the north east are cranky LOL. Tomorrow a big snow storm moving in--damn that groundhog for getting everyone excited about an early spring. I have to clean out my car today-first time all winter. It looks like the truck Fred Sanford Junkman drove. Have a great week-end!

Hey, USA PC people rush out and buy a power ball ticket; one of the richest in its history. You have 1 in 175,000 chance at the big money; some one is going to win it. IF you win, I want the sewing machine of my dreams....and one for each of us...

Big storm moving in tonight, with weather advisory...do not travel if its not necessary!! from Saturday midnight until Sunday at 7 pm. Up to 12 inches of snow, rain coming in first, then freezing mix, then snow. Yep, its like I said, we will be celebrating our anniversary later on...not on Monday.

It does sound like you had fun JanRN; need a picture of your fabric 'finds'. Yes, Mirabelle, I think you can. I know you can. DH got mixed up on his dates to do the dishes and did them on an even day yesterday, instead on his odd day...I quietly smiled and worked in my quilt room...keeping very quiet!!LOL!!!
