Mirab, I feel your pain. I made my May block, lots of pieces but for some reason the quilting gods were smiling on me. Every point was perfect. Every seam lined up. The colors were awesome. I've never made a more perfect block. I put it on my design wall to stand back and admire it along with my April block. What the %^%$#???????? It's only 10 1/2"!!! I grabbed the wrong size pattern (had printed it in 12", 10" & 6"). Didn't know whether to laugh or cry--I know the quilting gods were snickering because I'll never do another "perfect" block in my life.
Still working extra days, so I'm sorry I haven't been here to comment a lot but wow! There are some beautiful pics here. Jeannie, such a beautiful baby and how blessed you are. I love looking at everyone's projects and pics (including ducks LOL) and marvel at all of them.

Aren't we a bright pair JanRN My next plan is to draw it up on graph paper and paper piece it. I really liked the block and thought it would be perfect for my May victim I was going to start quilting the raffle quilt tomorrow but I think I will try and get this block done as it will haunt me if I don't. I know there is plenty of time but I would rather get it done now and then not have to worry about the deadline creeping up on me.

Dublb--your house in Brady looks very inviting.
Mirabelle and Jan--I am so sorry that happened to you. I was printing a pattern for a MB yesterday and had to print it 4 times to get it big enough even though it said it was a 12" block. I was thankful for the 1" test square so I could check that before sewing.
Mirabelle--fun to know in advance you get to go to a retreat and that DD gets to go too!
Jan--maybe you can frame your "perfect block" and hang it for encouragement that you *can* do it!
It is chilly here this morning with a dusting of snow, supposed to get up to 51 today and 69 tomorrow with more storms. My nephew will be here shortly. 11yr old DD enjoys keeping him occupied so I should still be able to sew and/or organize some today. I was able to get my April MB done yesterday. The friend who I host retreats with came over yesterday and we worked on a sample for our next retreat gift...this way we can get started now and not be doing them a month ahead.
Got the house picked up this morning, but better get off here to wash dishes and put clothes in the dryer.

Mirabelle and Jan, I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted it. Jan, sure you will make another perfect block! Like Carrie said, frame it, use it somewhere in your living room so you know you can do it
Yes QNS, Miss April has been done for a while, I'm waiting for Miss May to judge So bring it on ladies
Bram and Isa both are in Enschede!! I visited them today. They're growing and growing (in weight). Bram still is small but he's doing the best he can. They're 12 weeks now! They will have to stay in hospital for another 6 weeks though but that's ok.
