That's cuz I haven't quite decided what to do with them. I just have soooo many 1" strips and want to tame the mini stash a bit.

No OK, not me
GrannyQ, I'm very glad you got good news.
QNS, I hope DH will help out when you had your surgery!
QuiltE, great Fair though a lot of work to set it all up.
Mirabelle, I'm glad my DGD is still too small to look at the pictures and tell me I have to make one too It's gorgeous.
Honchey, don't worry. I feel like that at times too. I don't have anything to show except the stockings but I have to take pictures first! Will do that tomorrow.

CarrieM ... that's been my experience. It may not be so jumbled and confusing in your area. I really encourage you to enter. It helps to see how you are doing and get some feedback.
Honchey ... I can understand your lack of sewing. Too much happening and a body that's hurting would stop me too. The important thing is to take care of yourself, through it all. I'll confess, I didn't get Friday's mail, so will check tmro/Monday after that mail is sorted and see if I should be lucky to have an MB. Yours?
QNSue ... hopefully your Dr is overshooting his estimates, and you will not find things quite so difficult. I hope that your BF can arrange to be there to help you, at least for the company. Will it be day surgery? Or will they keep you overnight?
OKSGlad ... I did a lot of sleeping and sorting this week, so just felt I "needed" some sewing-therapy. Spent part of today doing some more cleaning and re-settling from the fair. It's all done now. Some baking done and will sew tonight. The 9P jar is looking good, and looks like you will soon need a bigger jar for those minis! Are you managing to keep ILean out of the house? Hope so!!! Madison trip coming up soon for you? No, not saving 1" strips, though have been keeping some pieces for other projects. Just too many ideas and dream projects!!
Anael ... yes, a lot of work but well worth it. Thankfully my colleague is easy to work with. We've done it enough times now, that the set up while a lot, isn't too difficult of a task ... more time than anything. I still have some of my antiques to bring home from their place ... just not enough room in my truck for it all at once.
Hope everyone is having a perfect Sunday ... enjoying the lovely fall weather (summer for MiraB) ... and doing things that are important to each of you!

QE--you asked about the clubhouse....well plans are forming, but we aren't sure whether it will be next year of the following...just depends on finances. My dad will be the one to figure out what we need and do a lot of the building/directing us what to do. While on our trip last week we got to talking about some of the details.
OK--I don't save any scraps quite that small...maybe 1 1/2" strips. After making a few DJ blocks I am sure I will either love little pieces or hate them.
Today I got everything cut for my sister's quilt borders and also the crazy quilt border, backing and binding. I started cutting fabric for SYE #3 and worked a little on the binding of another table runner. This will be a busy week, but I should be able to get a little sewing in every day except Wednesday when I work. I don't want to get behind on SYE. Then I need to get my MB done for October. After that back to sewing the borders on those two quilts.

Yes, OK, I have some one inch and some two and half inch strips in my sewing room; also some four and five inch blocks as I recall.
Yes, QuiltE, bf is planning on being here on Oct 31st, and staying at least three days; and for her husband to come too cause we have a 'project' for them to do: building canning storage shelves in the garage. That will keep both of them out of our hair! But she doesn't have her back patio wooden deck built after three years, so it may or may not occur. They took a walnut tree down this morning; it was full of worms inside the tree and the tree was mostly dead.
Bf is not too healthy herself, so will see what happens. No, dh does not know how to care for anyone other than himself. And he wants waited on all the time.... It was his idea to can the apples this weekend. I did 28 pints (dh peeled them with his gadget), baked a cake and made four loaves of bread on Thursday. Yesterday, canned 14 quarts of apples (dh peeled them and sliced them with his gadget) and made an apple pie. We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy for lunch yesterday, and semi home made noodles and chicken (canned chicken and broth) at lunch today. Leftovers were sent home with best friend and her husband. Including cake, pie, two loaves of bread, dozen duck eggs. She hates to cook, but does walk on water when her dh asks her to do so...he pitched in a lot this weekend, carrying things to the table, and washing dishes. Now, I might get to elevate my knee the rest of the day.

QuiltE - here are the SYE blocks, plus the 2 pieces of Block 3, just for you! LOL I am taking apart #2 and putting the darker green in the outside pieces. I decided I wanted all those pieces the same color.

Hi, ladies. First an apology for not posting and commenting on all the lovely items yinz have posted. I have been sick with a sinus infection, bronchitis, and on top of that a (bleeping) bladder infection. Plus, working extra days because the new girl is also sick and called off. I go to work and come home and go to bed. I have been reading the posts and enjoying them; haven't been in Bat Cave to sew for over a week. I'm never sick (I'm so blessed) and don't handle it well when I am--tend to whine a lot LOL.
I need your advice. As you know, I had a problem with my Sweet 16, took it to LQS who couldn't fix it because it was an electronic problem. Picked it up, packed it and mailed it to HQ. Very nice guy took care of sending me the postage and personally handled the problem. Rec'd machine back on Tuesday, set it up, hit the foot pedal and it's DEAD!! Same exact problem as before (Motor Sensor Error) so it's electronic again. I called and talked to the very nice guy and he said he'd overnight parts to my LQS so they could fix it. Due to not feeling well and working a lot, I can't get it there til Tuesday. So I have to pack it up, get MrJanRn to go with me to carry the machine and take it to LQS. Now, my question: what do I tell them? I don't want this thing back if it's going to happen again. Mr nice guy at HQ says it probably got jostled in shipping and something loosened up. Well, doesn't quilting cause a lot of vibrations and is it going to loosen up again? I just need some advice on what to ask, what to say, and what to tell them. Help please!

Oh, so sorry for this mess Jan. I cannot believe it is not put together better than this, that it would be broken again by being"jostled" in shipping. Maybe you could ask that they send you a new one, and make sure it is packaged properly!!!!
