OK - love those quilts, looks like you got to use up lots of scraps too. Bear Paw is one of my favorites!

I'm getting ready for a big week next week. Our best camping friends and Joe and I are hosting the camp out for October. We will be leaving on Sunday (so we can get set up) and won't get back until Thursday. We are decorating all the tables with Halloween Theme. We are responsible for the breakfasts on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday we are having Waffles and Smokie Link Sausages, and on Wednesday it will be Monkey Bread and Bagels. I made 5 Monkey Breads and put them in the freezer so I can just defrost them the night before and reheat in the oven for a little while. We are planning a trip on Tuesday to an old fashioned train station/museum and then wine tasting. On Monday night it will be "heavy" Hors d'oeuvres, Tuesday night is a potluck and Wednesday night we are going to eat out at a Mexican Restaurant. Whew!!!! The campground does not have any WIFI, so you will not hear from me until Thursday - I know I'll have a ton of reading to do to catch up!

JeanieG it sounds like you are going to have a wonderful week with good friends, wine and good food, what could be better.

My neighbours have a banana tree and I have been about 80 bananas and they all ripened at once;) so guess what I am doing this weekend. I have baked the first batch of banana and nutmeg muffins, tomorrow it might be banana and walnut with brown sugar and then I might make a couple of loaves of banana bread. The rest I might freeze and cook later. DH is licking his lips, he loves home baked goodies:D

So before my men get home I will meet you all in the RV for tea, coffee and muffins:thumbup:

Mirabelle--we freeze whole bananas for smoothies.

OK--nice finishes. Sorry no suggestions on the quilting...I haven't even tried much stippling yet!

Jeanie--have a great camping trip!

Not commenting much the last few days, but I am reading...

Very bummed tonight as my friend from Florida wasn't able to fly up today as planned...she got pretty sick last night. :( She was coming to see her mom and then come to our retreat next week...hoping she can get a flight on Monday.

Thanks everyone. Feels good to get these done! In case you are wondering here's what the other side of my sewing area looks like today. Oh so much for trying to keep neat and tidy.

Honchey--I checked out the book you bought. Looks like it's a really good miniature reference book too. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of your creative center.
Have a great time Jeanie--sounds like a busy time ahead.
Oh and the food sounds and looks sooo good. Muffins and monkey bread for breakfast at the RV. I'll bring the bacon.
Necessity is the mother of invention QNS.
Carrie--hope your friend gets here for the retreat. Bummer that she had to cancel the earlier flight.
Getting the binding done on DSis's quilt. Worked on the flower and garden beds and still have more work to do. Planted some tulips and muscari for next spring. DH has asked me to move a bed next to the barn--it's interfering with water flow and last rain storm he wasn't happy with all the water flooded into the barn. Dug and replanted a daylily and bleeding heart. Dug the hostas for DDIL to use in a project she has going. Have 2 DL and 1 BH yet to dig. Then DH can take the skidsteer and move the RR tie--hmm where should I put it. Tomorrow is to be cooler and more garden work waits.
Now going to work a while on the 9P's cuz I want something mindless!
