Great Blocks, thanks for posting the photos... I'm getting through projects...Sylvia is patiently waiting for me. I've been hand working a Xmas gift these last few days but have my machine ready to hopefully get back to these soon.

Anael 11-17-2014 12:41 AM

I'm working on H7 and look at the size of it! I'll be interested to see if anyone else has this one coming out so large. Thought I was making 1/4 inch seams: maybe not!

thimblebug6000 11-17-2014 10:54 AM

Thanks for the new assignment Anael....
sue z q hope someone can give you advice on your block as I'm still behind on mine and won't get to that one for awhile.

Anael 11-17-2014 01:38 PM

Sue, the only thing I can say is rip and try again. It seems the triangles aren't the same size. I don't know about the size of the geese, can't see it.

Beautiful Mirabelle. I love your colour choices and fabrics!

QuiltingNinaSue 11-19-2014 09:41 AM

Beautiful, Mirabelle. Wonderful to see your great blocks again.

I am still struggling with correcting my eyesight. I had surgery on left eye, and removed the cataract there. ther was a growth on the left side of the nose that the surgeon removed also. Waiting impatiently to get back into quilting...not yet.

thimblebug6000 11-19-2014 10:54 AM

Great blocks Mirabelle!

Anael 11-19-2014 11:08 AM

Anael 11-19-2014 11:43 PM

You're planning on finishing this year? Including the appliqué ones ? :D :D

mirabelle 11-20-2014 02:46 AM

Yes sure am Anael, I have a big project I want to start in the New Year, so to have this one finished would be great

Anael 11-20-2014 02:54 AM

Finished as..............quilted and binded? Would be great!!!! Or like me, the top finished and waiting for more guts to start the quilting process!!

giquilt 11-20-2014 03:40 AM

I went back and read thru many posts. Have taken notes. The blocks by everyone are AWSOME!!!!!

Sylvia is waiting patiently her turn in my sewing room. I am afraid I got interested in another quilt "Afternoon Delight" by Sue Garman it has 6 inch blocks also. It has lots of appliqué which I love. So I kept up to date on it. Still want to do Sylvia at some point.

Anael 11-20-2014 04:17 AM

posted twice :D :D

Anael 11-20-2014 04:25 AM

Hi giquilt :) Great to see you again!! Sylvia will surface one day :D Have fun with the appliqué! Is that the OMG with lots of appliqué? I love the way she modified it!

Hi there, no I have the pillow top hand embroidery finished now & washed out my lines.... it's blocked & now I need to decide whether to border it or what. I need to stay home more if I'm going to keep making more projects :D But I do enjoy my walks...aquafit...and today bowling. And then tomorrow it's aquafit.. a celebration of life and then out to celebrate DD's 30th.... Sat morning it's a walk with my group....so maybe... I'll get to finish 2 more microwave bowls in the afternoon. ..then the pillow....then maybe (no promises) a visit with Sylvia! I can't believe I'm going to start Bonnie Hunter's mystery in a week's time with so many other projects on the go.... oh well.... lots of variety that's for sure!
Love your new blocks again today Mirabelle!

Hahaha maybe not quilted and bound but definitely all together, I finished another 4 blocks today..

Anael 11-21-2014 12:14 AM

YES :D The Energizer Bunny is back :D :D :D

Karen G 11-21-2014 05:46 AM

Beautiful, Mirabelle. I will return to Sylvia some day. I've been working on some finishes and doing hand stitching binding. The whole stack fell over and said "me, too." Maybe I'll get all bound up by the end of winter.

Anael 11-21-2014 06:16 AM

:D :D Karen you make me laugh :D :D Just do what makes you (or your UFO's) happy. Sometimes you just need to finish a few things before you can make more UFO's :D :D

BerninaGirl 11-21-2014 10:04 AM

Is this thread going to go into 2015?

Anael 11-21-2014 10:15 AM

Yes it will. You can join us anytime:)

Rhondals 11-21-2014 10:16 AM

I love this quilt, but I've never made one with blocks per se. Could I do this with advanced beginners skills I have? I know how to use all the rulers, paper piecing (which I don't like), etc....

Anael 11-21-2014 10:26 AM

Yes you can. I started this one just after I started quilting, not a good choice but I really learned a lot. When you start with the easier blocks you can do it!

Rhondals 11-21-2014 10:39 AM

Would this be the correct book? I'll try to find it on prime I want to make a red and neurtral color Dear Jane type quilt. I saw one on a website on a BOM club that seemed ridiculous expensive. I wasn't sure if I could do it or not.

Anael 11-21-2014 10:48 AM

Page not found.......link doesn't work

Rhondals 11-21-2014 10:55 AM

Sorry. Let's see if this works: http://www.amazon.com/Sylvias-Bridal...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Anael 11-21-2014 11:20 AM

Yes, that's the one :)

Anael 11-21-2014 11:30 AM

Rhondals, in post # 734 there's a link to a PDF file for block A10. You can try that one. It's paper pieced though......:)

Rhondals 11-21-2014 12:28 PM

Thanks! I am going to print it up and make it later.

Here is my Fool's Puzzle, I hope this is the right week. I don't know about the Energizer Bunny but I do know that I want to finish this project.:D

I have not properly pressed the block yet but who will notice if it is a bit off when it is sewn into the quilt.

Anael, I also got my pillow finished for my friend for Xmas. It's hard to photograph but I'm happy with it... she built a huge sunroom onto her house & set up her sewing area out there....and her 3 cats...her favourite colour is green.
And the 4 microwave bowls are also completed this afternoon in between commitments ..... The dice one is for me and I bought the fabric in a neat little shop in Saskatchewan while on our vacation this year.... the eagle one is for DH and I bought the fabric in Bella Coola, B.C. in a little quilt shop in a trailer.... and the 2 cat ones are for my friend and her Sis.

Hope it's okay to put these pictures in our thread here as I've been talking about what has been keeping me from Sylvia!
