MaryAnn,

See if you can start small. Making one small change a day really does work. I never would eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day before I started to lose weight but now I do. What a difference!!! Don't make yourself go hunger just make better choices. You can do it girl!!!!

I'm gonna jump in here, as guess I didn't see this thread before now. (don't remember, anyway.)

I've been on my "new eating plan for health" since January. Cut out regular sodas, pastries, whites, starches, cheese, lunchmeats, sandwiches... and have been keeping a daily food journal. Am faithfully going to the gym 2 days a week with a trainer and also cardio on the eliptical machine.

Basically I eat healthy & am watching portions and snacking;
protein every meal, lots of veggies (cooked and uncooked), fruit, (5-7 fruits & veggies each day), no processed foods, hot tea a couple times a day...lots of water..several vitamen supplements. Snacks are mini-popcorn, 1 pce. dark chocolate, apple etc. and eating about 5 times a day.

Have lost ##'s slowly, but feel so much better..not tired & sluggish. So, far..I've lost about 12# and would like to lose about 15 more.

Thanks to whoever started this one.

Judy

So far in 9 days of the month, I have lost 3 lbs. Lots of fruit and veggies and a close watch on the fat intake (less than 25 grams a day). Walking the dogs helps too, we take them up into the mountains and let them run for about a mile round trip. The other day we went out and found a rather cool outcropping of lava stones. In this mass of rocks was a squirrels hideout, you could see where he was dragging in all his pine cone seeds.

Where is everyone???????????????? Eating a strawberry shortcake??????????? No encouragement, no helpful hint or recipe for the day????????? Am I all alone in this quest for thinness?????????? Since no one is here am I the winner of the FQ'S??????????? Come out come out where ever you are, just wipe that chocolate off of your face first.

Did I blew it today or not?????? I hope not I was DYING for a burger on a bun which I don't even remember the last time I had one. So for lunch I had a HUGE burger on a homemade bun so it was the size of 2 buns and a chocolate shake. I thought I had died and gone to heaven it was sooooooooooooooooo good. I will have a BIG salad for dinner and yogurt parfait for dessert. That should off set the lunch I had. :D :D :D

I'm having a good day watching my calorie intake. Got up early this morning and did 10min on the elliyptical, then walked 20min at the local walking path. The morning was beautiful!! I have started drinking green tea again. Feeling great today!! Taking one day at a time! :thumbup:

I didn't so so good, having bread cravings yesterday and today. Yesterday the burger today for lunch I had a ham sandwich on homemade bread with tons of mayo. I can't bake anymore when I do I eat it because I don't want it to waste so instead it goes to my WAIST!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone! I will keep you all updated. It is hard for me to find a pediatric neurosurgeon now that takes our insurance!
I have not gotten on the scale but I have been trying to go for a bike ride when I can....we shall see
