Ohhh-h-h geez that's not good! Hope you have a speedy recovery. Wishing you the best, just take it easy and relax with the hand-stitching and of course checking out this site. LOL! :D

Sorry to hear that Fran. I know it will be hard to refrain from quilting but do as the doctor says so you have a speedy recovery. I had a trip and fall a couple of years ago and had to have 2 knee surgeries. (I ruptured the meniscus in my knee and had to have it removed) I found out I just don't bounce as well as I use to when I was younger LOL. The second surgery probably because I tried to do too much too soon such as work and quilting. So of course this caused a longer recovery period.

Work on hand work, read or do anything that does not involve standing until you get your doctor's okay..

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope for a speedy recovery..

Nancy

Yikes! That's rough! Just glad you didn't injure your hands in your fall. A friend fell and broke both her wrists. Her sister took her to the hospital, had to help her get a urine sample!! Then a week or so later, she wanted a bath instead of a shower, and sister tried to help her. They had to call another sister to help her get out of the tub! She said they laughed so hard, they cried.

Take care and find a good book or so. . .. .

This is a good one! Like Suzanne Sommers selling that thingy a few years back, yeah, the thighmaster! Will that work for you? All kidding aside, hope recovery is quick and you are back to normal soon!

I just got a visual of Suzanne Somers and that thigh buster thing she used to promote. It might work though, for sewing and thigh bustin".

Sorry Franie for your fall. Hope you are better soon.

Sorry to hear of your accident. A few years back I fell 9ft. from the attic access to a cement floor & shattered my ankle. Fortunately it was my left. I remember using my crutches to get to the riding mower to cut my grass. One day my cast slipped off the clutch while coming into the garage & I took out my Craftsman tool box -better than my car. I was also making trips back & forth (300 mi.) to the other side of PA as my sister was losing her battle with colon cancer.

Before I retired in 96, I also broke a wrist. Again, good thing it was my left. Dealing with getting the bra on & hair done were the real challenge.

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how much that much hurt. I hope you get better soon. Hand sewing is great too.
