But we $^&*# when we had 6 ft of snow this winter so God is laughing!
yesterday hubby's work crew including my 17yr old were working on finishing a foundation(putting in the floor support beams) well its on a hillside and they are walking up planks 20ft in the air!
my son passed out from the heat and when hubby ran down the plank to check on him he fell to the gravel below!
both came home in a mood and sore all over!

I hope you all cool down soon!! Here in the Texas Panhandle we are having flash floods, and when it is not drizzling, it is a tad more humid than we are used to, but it is bearable....the heat is a real zapper of plans, energy, smiles and fun times. Hope you are relieved very very soon!

a friend of mine's son is stationed in afgahnastan (spelling) it was 113 there today... and he is carrying full gear. pack weight i'm told is 35-75 lbs depending on the mission.. add the flack jacket and helmet....
puts our local heatwave in perspective, doesn't it?

A little cooler here today. It only reached 94* instead of 101* like yesterday. That temp is not 'official' but what or thermometer read outside and we are down in the holler near woods. One of our floor fans went caphooy last nite and can't be fixed. Nope, no AC. It runs about 88* to 92* inside. We come inside around 11:30 and stay put until around 6:00. Don't get alot done. We had a short power outage here today and looked at each other like :-o
