I'm retired and because I am in charge of my schedule feel like most of what I do each day is for me. Went to the fitness center yesterday and exercised for almost an hour. Hope to go again today.

50 PP stars is a Carol Doak book -- It really is a fun thing to PP blocks. I go to used book sites to look for things. Perhaps someone here has a copy for sale

Ladies, I saw this on a graduation throw in the Oriental Trading booklet. Thought it was very appropriate for all of us.

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."

Good for it!!! May you all have a great day.

The stars is Carol Doaks 50 paper pieced stars. THey are really pretty. I don't care for the colors od a lot od the stars in the book. I don't like the color choices. THere is a link on here for the group doing the book together. I am a few behind right now because of other things. I think we are on Louisiana this week. We are going thru the book alphabetically. There are some really beautiful stars posted.
I have been back on my elliptical this week. I had gotten lazy. That is probably why the scale is not moving. My food has been pretty good. Also my knee has been bothering me. I have a torn meniscus and need a replacement. The doctor says it doesn't seem to be bad enough to replace yet. He said I will know when it is time. I need to decide by my appointment next week if it is bothering me because i have been lazy or if I need another shot.
I got the border on my t-shirt quilt last night, finished the 2 blocks I need for my guild and cleaned up a little so I can start quilting my baby quilt. I need to go layer it so I can get started.

Way to go Judy!!! Every day will get a little easier (that's what they all say - it gets easier because we see the goal we want - I still want those foods)

Hoping everyone has a positive day. We may not all eat right, but have a positive attitude about yourself. IT SURE HELPS!!!!

Morning everyone!!! Today has been bill paying and such. But the checkbook balanced!!! Only took twice looking through everything, but...

I had a bubble bath last night. It felt wonderful. Thanks again Pam for reminding me to take care of me.

As soon as the Meals on Wheels comes to deliver Mom's lunch, I get to go outside and cut more "yellow flowers" out of the lawn. We had a little rain last night so they are growing great.

Take care - will check back later.

Boy, is it ever raining here!
I cut bias binding using the continuous cutting method. (watched tut on youtube). It worked great but wasted some fabric and I don't have enough binding. Lucky for me my friend will pick some up for me so I don't have to drive into town. Lots to do today to get ready to go out of town tomorrow for a family wedding this weekend. Get to see my mom and hopefully all of my siblings. I also get to see how my mystery quilt looks on my mom's bed. I hope she likes it!

welcome newcomers and returning members. Good luck with all your efforts to drop the lbs. I am planning on being here more this month.

I have finally lost a few lbs, this is the first loss for me in the last 6 weeks. I have lost more inches than lbs. I am down about 2 pant sizes.

If you haven't requested the mailing address for your skinny/fat quarter, you need to do so.
