We don't see any nests up close. There are a lot of woods behind us and tall trees in the yards.

I use to feed the birds and humminging birds. The raccoons and opossums took over the feeders. I don't want them hanging around.

Thanks for sharing these great photos! So amazing to see them. We have hummers but their nests are way up high in the trees. Loved seeing the baby hummer.

Those two are awesome! Thanks for sharing! I love to watch the Decorah, Iowa eagles nesting. I told my daughter it was like watching grass grow - but I love it.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful bird family with us. I also watch several live cams from Cornell Ornithology site. Now we have red tailed hawks, barred owls, ospreys and several others.

My favorite when I can't sleep is for the barred owl to bring in a crayfish or earthworm in the middle of the night.

Thanks for sharing- we keep hummer feeders out in front and back. Love to watch these darling little birds. I watched a cam in Cal. a few years back about a momma hummer they called Phoebe. Watched her babies hatching and then flying away,. just awesome. We haven't seen nests in years, but the hummers always return. I love to watch them. Have several pictures I've taken over the years of these babies.
I would love to have a nest nearby to watch. We always make sure that we give them extra servings when they return or about the time they get ready to leave on their long migration trips. When our feeders get low these little darlings come to the storm door and buzz around until we give them fresh feed. They are so fun to watch.

Thank you so much for sharing. I get excited when the cardinals sit on the fence outside my kitchen window. If I had these sweeties to look at I wouldn't get anything done.
