write a letter (which you don't have to send) to whoever or whatever is ticking you off. Say everything you need to about how the situation is making you feel. In the process you may find yourself saying what you need to happen to make you feel better. At the very least you'll have gotten it all out and may be able to focus on something else or have discovered what you need to do to make yourself feel better. Good luck.

Sorry for the sick sense of humor, I am in a crummy mood tonight. I should be really happy, instead I am so ticked off I am chewing the nails on the wall.

It felt good to eat salad today and to have a normal portion of food and be FULL!

Tonight I had cantelope for supper to counteract the extra calories.

I am ready to eat like a normal dieter again. I've had my indulgences and don't want to go on a binge.

I did the six minute walk again today, which was a long walk at a brisk pace. So, I exercised today!! Yippee!!

Okay, I'll admit it. I am having difficulty. I've been on this weight loss thread since June. Every month I lose 5 or 6 lbs and then I gain it back. I don't know why I can't keep it off. It's not like I haven't had any motivation. I was in a play in July and had a class reunion in August. I know what I need to do to lose weight. I guess I don't want to lose it very badly.
I drove to St Paul tonight to go to a play with my twin sister. It was called Good Body by the same writer as The Vagina Monologs. It was very, very strange and I don't recommend it.
I'm so glad we have a "real" nurse among us. Congrats!

pam-- have you written down the questions that purplemem asks? maybe it's time to look at them and come up with some really truthful answers.why don't you want to get and stay healthy and slimmer? what is more important to you? why? don't tell me, tell yourself. if you like a glass of wine now and then this is a good time to have one. maybe it will let you be more candid. at any rate, you owe it to yourself to be honest.

Pam, I did that for awhile. It happened while I was going through a series of depression and anxiety attacks plus medical issues. I tried or thought I was trying to loose weight but for every pound I lost I gained 2 back. I finally got serious and admitted that I was frustrated by my doc diagnosis - did alot of posting on this thread and last week I lost 3 lbs. I know it's not alot but given my past several months it's alot. Emotions play a big part in our weight loss. I finally got proactive and pushed my doc to refer me to specialists and yes I still am going through the process of seeing them but I'll have answers and there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Figure out whats really bothering you - post dailey even if it's just to say you're still with us - follow suggestions made by people on this thread. Everyone of us have been in the same position you are in. Good luck and God Bless.

MJ - nancia has a good idea - write down all your feelings about your interaction with this doc. Then mail em, post them or burn them - just get them out of your system. It sounds like your eating is good and you're exercising! I thought you weren't supposed to walk, what did I miss?

Judy, I have this strange picture in my mind of you in your sewing area being swallowed by quilts and material. It's quite amusing.

I didn't follow my menu exactly yesterday but stayed under my calorie limit. I went to PT in the morning followed my water aerobics at 11;00 so I got my exercise in. Today is another day (One Day at a Time) and I have my menu all made up for the day.

My goal for the day is to make a menu for the week. I know I've said this before but today is the day (God willing)

    Have a good day everyone.

Iam losing - I can do this.
