tattoos?

I got my tatoo in 1999. It's a mushroom with a butterfly on it. It's less than 2 in tall and the colors have stayed good after all of these years. Eventually I want to get a ankle bracelet tatoo. Nothing too large maybe a vine with flowers and a few small butterflies. I love my tatoo. I have 5 kids and all of them have tattoos also; they are grown. I have no problem with having a tattoo but I tell everyone; when you get one make sure you do so where you can cover it up when you want too and it's not something that would embarrass you in years to come.

I was getting report from another nurse one evening and she proceeded to tell me that the young woman whose care I was assuming was "trashy" well I can not stand when people are jugemental so I asked why she would say this, she replied"well she has tattoos all over her back and legs" I then replied " Charlene, how long have you known me?", She replied " about 5 years why? I then said what do you think of my character? She said I think you are a great person what are you talking about? I then proceeded to pull up my sleaves, pull down my scrub top, started to pull my pants down well you get the picture, Needles to say she turned very pale and then very red! Moral of the story .... JUDGE NOT !!!!!!!!!
Bet she thought twice from then on about judging a book by it's cover :)

I always say "never judge a book by it's cover, you might miss the best story you ever read" :)

I have my tattoo on my breast and have had it for 22 years; it's stil there where I put it. That says alot since several years back I had to have a breast reduction and the doctor was so great that he said he wanted to make sure my tattoo stayed in tact. I'm glad he did.

Several years ago I got sick and after all of my life having great thick hair mine thinned out; everywhere. My eyebrows only grow half way across and I hate the way pencil looks. I found a licensed specialist who actually has done alot of the stars makeup and went for it. First I got my eyebrows done then I got my eye lids done. I love it and when I got my eyebrows done people kept telling me I looked good and wanted to know what I had done. Most people didn't notice my eyebrows but it bothered me to no end. But it's funny how many people where trying to figure out what was different about me. I have allergies and hate to wear makeup because I'm always rubbing my eyes and applying lotion on my face. Now I have the look without the hassle. It's especially great when I put my contacts in and I don't have to worry about eye liner. They now have ink with pain killer in it so it isn't as bad as it used to be.

My DH just got one and they tried to talk me into one. He said, "wouldn't you like a quilt block on you somewhere?" I said, "I can't decide which quilt I want to work on from day to day, how would I ever decide on a quilt that I would want to look at for life!!!"

My brother got the hand with the puppet strings from the Godfather movie tattooed on his shoulder. It looks pretty sweet.
