I have a magnet on an extenible(sp) handle. When I drop pins, I can easily reach them. I think they made to used in a garage to pick up nuts and bolts. Check out a dollar store. There are some days nothing will stay in my hands.
Cheer up, we're all in the same boat. : )

I always keep the water for my iron in a plastic measuring cup.
Well I thought I hadmoved it far enough out of the way......NOT.
Water went everywhere......on books ,patterns my quilt etc.....luckily it was only water. We all do stuff like that......so you are not alone. We can all relate......Don't beat yourself up .

I do that kind of stuff all the time, and I don't have a good reason for it! Don't be too hard on yourself, we all make silly mistakes when we get into it.

I've knocked over more pins than there are numbers to count. Now I don't keep them in plastic containers any more. I have a little stuffed bunny who serves as my pincushion and sewing buddy. If he flops off the table the pins stay with him.

if your hubby has a utility grade magnet its works great to just sweep it over the floor and it will pick up most of them.. the ones dug in a little but more wiill be tougher but it should get most of them in minutes! my dad has one that he used after we reshingled the roof to get all the nails out of the yard and driveway to prevent a popped tire.

my boys used a magnet on my pins once and for quite some time after that the pins would stick to my sissors and each other.

From all the pictures you have posted you are doing an amazing job quilting. I admire you.

This is late in the day getting posted, so hope your day got better. I am good at doing that, too. I have one of those magnetic wands and they work wonders since I can no longer get down on my knees to pick thing up. By the way, my brain is not injuried, just missing most days. Just want to let you know, you are an example to me. You have accomplished so much with your injury and are so strong about it. chin up, smile and it's okay to get mad at yourself, but NEVER hate yourself. Love and hugs
