I wonder why we divide each day into 24 slices, and then use only twelve names to describe them. Did anyone try clock faces that went up to 24, and a little hand that did just one circuit a day?

And could we not have gone for an easier option, like ten hours in a day?

I wonder why there are seven days in a week, and why weeks don't get names, but days and months do?

I wonder how I can find a whisker an inch long on my face when I didn't notice it the day before! Did it grow that long over night?

I've always wondered why people could fall in love at first sight.

or become best friends in an instant.

or when looking for a puppy, you know the right one when you see it. That happened when I got both my great danes.

As for the whiskers growing, I keep disposable razors in my purse, in both vehicles, and in both bathrooms, and one in my desk at work. I think they do grow that fast but sometimes you can only see them in certain light, but not always feel them. Those are the soft ones but I do have one pesky very short white one that I think sinks back down into the skin when I get my razor out. Oh the joys of getting older. Of course that hair is always migrating upward, I havent shaved my legs in years but there it is on the chin. Ugh! but get this, my husband of 10 years had hardly a hair on his chest, etc., but since taking thryoid medication, it grows like crazy now.

I wonder where Liz Porter of Fons and Porter tv show is. I have not seen her on there forever. Mary Fons, Maryanne's daughter has been on with her mother instead. Does Liz have health issues or something? Anyone have a clue?
