I've got neat grand kids, they only want something hand made or very old that belonged to some of the old folks no longer with us.
Step kids and stepGKs too, guess I'm just really lucky.

I would have said "Hey if you don't like them, give them back to me and I will sell these, and you don't get anything."

I am so sorry your family felt that way about all your hard work. I think reactions like that are why I am hesitant about making things for family and friends sometimes. But for the most part, my family loves what I make them. Especially my grandbabies. They love to cuddle under quilts made by Mamaw.

Hi,

Sorry that you got that reaction from your family.....been there, know how you feel!
It's that way with quilts also....people who don't quilt don't have a clue the time and money that goes into a quilt.
I have many purses I made and love em all!

That is so sad. Some people just don't appreciate what you do for them.

I'm so very sorry this happened to you. I was raised that you expressed sincere appreciation to the giver of a gift whether you liked it or not. It's the thought that counts. I'm constantly shaking my head at how people act nowdays.

Bless your heart, I'm so sorry they treated your loving gifts that way, just don't make them anything else, and someday they will come to regret it I'm sure.
