I can take them or leave them. I have a few I bought for applique, but have only used a very few. I do like that it's hard to tell right from wrong side.

Some patterns look beautiful in batiks, but to me they don't have that wonderful feel of other 100% cotton.

Different strokes for different folks as the saying goes. I think until you create something with it you may feel that way.

I can't get enough of batiks and it was only after I used some of it did I really get to loving it. Now I can't live without using some of it in my projects if not all of it.

I would have agreed with you a year ago. Then I signed up for a free BOM just to try them and now I'm hooked.

I do not like batiks, never intend to buy any of them. They just do not impress me as fabric for quilts.

I do not like Batiks I used them in a quilt Challenge and they stretched all over the place. I do like the silky feel of them and may make a quilt in the future.

I love batiks and love working with them. They don't fray like other material does.

I'm with you, Sue. I never met a fabric I didn't like! LOL.

I am also not crazy about batiks. I think some of them are just OK, if they have clear colors, but too many of them look way too muddy to me. I have some in my stash, but I have never used them in anything.
