Craft Show Best Sellers
#32
I sold at craft shows for about 10 years. Got out when the economy got bad, people weren't buying. I found that peope were buying practical things for gifts. If she wants to get her name out for future sales, though, it is the correct venue. I got a lot of referrals for items by getting my business card out at the shows. It was alot of fun though, but we had big things and hauling totes full of stuff and getting set up was tough. I was always envious of the crafter that had 3 totes and sold out each time.

I use to sell at the craft fairs i did pretty good, I made tree skirts, bags, ornaments, pot holders, gift baskets and i would put had made dishcloth in them with a candle or pot holder, also for the gift basket i made it with insulbrite so the basket could be used as a hot mat, make curling iron holders. pin cushions, all sell very nicely.

I did a Christmas fair last year and my best sellers were fabric bowls - I showed them full of nuts or candies or even bath soaps and lots bought them as Christmas gifts. They also fold flat so can easily be posted in an envelope. :-D http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-69512-1.htm
