The Husqvarna Viking Sapphire and Designer series machines have a needle plate that pops off with the tip of a screw driver in the front corner of the plate. The other machines, Singers and other HV machines have 2 screws that are very difficult to remove as there is limited space to get a screw driver in there.
My Bernina 1031 requires no tools to remove the needle plate, just drop the feed dogs and push the plate off toward the back; after you're done cleaning it just slide it back on.
A never ending bobbin would be great.

How about an easier-to-grip screw and bigger screw hole on the foot attachment post? I'm constantly struggling to get my big hand in the cramped space of my Janome 6600 every time I change the feet on the shaft. Not easy to line up and hang on to screw with my left hand. Many words spoken to my machine at those times.

My Bernina Series 8/820 machine does have a much bigger bobbin. It holds 1 1/2 times the amount of thread that most conventional machines do. It loads on the front of the machine and the foot plate is spring loaded so it is fairly easy to access but I agree that machines need to be made more accessible for cleaning etc. I think they don't do that so that we have to take it to a technician for cleaning/repairs etc.

Don't you think it would make sense for the manufacturers to sit down with people that really use their machines? We could give them so many good ideas, I'm sure. But, of course, it would cost a gazillion $$$$!

I agree with you with all points, but I especially wish for a larger harp. I also agree with Krystina about the need to make it easier to clean the lint from around the bobbin and other places. taking out and replacing those screws is extremly difficult with shaking hands.
