Hi,

I use to work for JoAnn's, I know in my area store they would want to know you were unhappy with your purchase and why. if you have the crooked ends and or the actual fat quarters, I would bring it in or take a picture of it to show them. I love JoAnn's mainly for their crafts but also because St. Albans Staff is so helpful and friendly.

I don't buy fabric at Joanne's anymore. On two different occassions I have waited in a long line to get fabric cut, and when I get to the register, it's not the sale price that's advertised, even though there's a big sign over the fabric that I can point to. They don't even honor their own mistakes, nor remove the sign so someone else doesn't think it's on sale. Go to a "real" fabric store with quality fabric, even if it costs a little more. You get what you pay for.

+1

I would still write to their HQ though. I wonder where the fabric is cut? I suspect some exhausted worker in China does it for 14 hours a day and a pittance of a wage.

I disagree. Measuring IS an exact science. By definition!

Yes we can all make a mistake, but most of us do not seek to sell our mistakes to others for a profit. You seem to think it is OK to do so?

Business should not get away with taking money under false pretences, even if this happens because of poor quality control, rather than intent to defraud.

Amen to that. Buying shoddy fabric or paying for something we don't get is wasting our money. LQS don't have the 'luxury' of being too big for their britches. I think that companies like Joanns feel they can get away with a lot just because a lot of times they are the only game in town. There are so many of us that have had problems with Joann stores, I can't believe 'corporate' doesn't isn't aware of it.

Hi, MaryP!
I already don't like to shop at Joann's because of the quality of their stuff and treatment by the staff. What kind of material do you buy?

Hi!
I agree with you. I don't usually shop at Joanns. What kind of material do you buy for quilting?

I hope you tell the manager. She should be happy to make a customer happy.
