Wow a lot of info. card stock, paper, freezer, mylar and all hand sewn. Isn't there a way to do it with the machine?

Karenowc
The back of your quilts looks like mine...lots of wrinkled papers and a few threads. Keep up the good work.

I made a sheet of 5 hexis on the computer and printed it out onto some old lined paper (it's thinner and easier for me to baste and pin) and only printed a few sheets out. I then pinned the paper together in each of the hexis so I wouldn't have to worry about the paper shifting while I cut. I haven't tried the freezer paper, but regular paper works better for me, but try a few methods until you find what you like! and good luck!

That's what I use also (file folders) Mine are only 1" & I bought a hexagon punch so I don't have to cut.

I have a metal hex that I trace around it on freezer paper, cut that shape out and iron onto my fabric. I'm keeping the templates in the quilt until I get ready to quilt it.
Here's a couple photos:
Your quilt is going to be beautiful. LOve the colors you used.

that's what I thought so decided on doing the EPP method as it look easier and probably won't take as long because I know machine piecing those seems would be frustrating!

This is how I cut my hexys out - using a computer generated copy of a hexigon of the size I wanted -laid them out in a word doc fitting as many as I could get onto an 8.5 X 11 form leaving a 1/4 inch border around each hexy. Used form to copy onto freezer paper (8.5 X 11) sheets that I ran one at a time threw my printer. Then I cut out the hexys and ironed them on to my fabric ( no slipping this way) for cutting. You can use a freezer paper hexy many times before it stops sticking to the fabric.

If you want hexys made from the same fabric just iron your fabric to the freezer paper and run it threw the printer one sheet at a time and it will print the hexy right onto the back of your fabric then just cut it out.
