I am so excited for you. Lucky you. I would ask what she wanted for it and if She refuses any payment for it. I would say, OK, "I'll make you a little something and use this machine" I bet She will be delighted and be very appreciative about it.

A treadle, by its nature, NEEDS to be in a cabinet to work. They don't come in a portable.
The last two I bought for $10 each.

First of all ... what a wonderful thing to have happen and congratulations! Dinner, or machine scouting, or whatever, your Mom is a gem! Second of all, you sure are a sweetie to be right away thinking about what you can do to say "Thanks".

It depends on where you are located, the condition of both the machine (and what machine model) and the cabinet for the value. You could check around locally for what is available and the conditions they are in for ideas. Do realize that asking price and actually selling price is two different things.
While sentimental value does not equal dollars and cents, there is little I wouldn't give to have my grandma's treadle.
Enjoy your prize whatever you decide to give for it. Lucky you!
