I don't do open windows, too much dust. I use these: http://www.febreze.com/en-US/product...-linen-and-sky fantastic scent, no mess, no electrical. I keep one in my stash closet and one in my sewing room. The linen scent is my favorite. It smells clean.

I use linen/lavender wallflowers from Bath & Body Works. BF doesn't tolerate heavy scents and this one is very clean and light. His computer is in my sewing room (quality time together) and likes to 'snack' so this is a perfect scent for us.

well...since i took over my son's old room I PERSONALLY think it smells like a bolognie sandwich. others tell me it smells like my pastor and his wife. ODD. but my windows are almost always open and i have a scensy pot right outside the door on the antique radio. i have heard if you take 2 oz of vodka, a few drops of lavender, and fill up a 2 quart container with water and use it in your iron it will smell really really good!

I hang bags made of bridal veil, filled with dried lavender flowers and sage in my closet. I just give those bags a squeeze when I need more scent. I stay away from chemical scents, but in the winter I use my scentsy burner with beeswax and naturally scented oils, messy but natural. I also but bags of lavender in my cabinet drawers with my fabric. With my wools I put cedar balls that you buy. Keeps the bugs away.

I guess mine smells like the rest of the house. I've never noticed it. Here in southern Arkansas where the humidity is high, open windows in the summer lets in the moisture and everything gets damp and smells musty. So we don't open the windows. We don't smoke or have pets. Now you've made me think about it, I guess I better go in there and sniff around.

This is a little off topic but a friend told me yesterday that she went to a lecture/open house by the costume department at the local opera house. They were told that, because they don't have time to dry clean the costumes every day, they spray them with a mixture of water and vodka. She said that the vodka kills the bacteria that cause body odor!
Another off topic comment: I bumped into a fellow quilter at work and she smelled so nice that I asked her what perfume she was wearing. She wasn't wearing any but she remembered that she had been working on a quilt before she came to work so the lovely scent was Best Press!
