I handquilt all of my personal tops. The only thing I machine quilt are Linus Quilts or baby quilts for non quilters.

I do my own. I hand quilt them but sometimes I just wish that I could afford to send them out. It would be so much easier and quicker and it would give me more time to make more quilts. I just can't afford it.

I generally quilt my own, but having said that, I'm also lucky to get one quilt done in a year, so quantity isn't my main focus.

I quilt my own tops and feel that if I don't I do not have the right to put a label on it "hand quilted". I enjoy just sitting and quilting in any spare time I get. It gets my mind off of other things and is very relaxing.

I've just received a HandiQuilter for my anniversary gift so I'm learning that and trying to sell the old long arm I used to use.

I've got a stack of quilt tops waiting for me to quilt!

Ya know what? I once saw a quilt that had 3D blocks in it and the long arm quilter (an acquaintance of mine) stood there, just looking at it, trying to figure out what/how to quilt it.

This quilt had lace, and flowers and all kinds of stuff-- I can't imagine how it would've been quilted but then, that was probably one of those $500 quilt jobs!!

I quilt my own. I prefer hand quilting, but have done a little (very little) on my sewing machine. I have a mid-arm quilter that I am just beginning to learn. It's a vintage machine with a huge frame that would only fit it my attic - it's pretty hot up there right now, so I won't get much practice until DH installs the air conditioner.

My first long arm (the one I'm trying to sell) is a combination cutting table and removable long arm frame. My husband is another Norm Abram ("This Old House" carpenter extraordinaire) so it is strong and sturdy and fabulous with lots of storage, too!
