That is so great. You really handled this situation well, preserved a friendship, honored your values and ethics, and didn't have to challenge her.

Are you my mother in law? I'm not kidding, she did this again and again. Bless her soul. I was very fond of her and miss her a great deal. You learned to take her recipes with a grain of salt.

shequilts, what a wonderful way to turn a situation to the good. I'm glad you will be passing on the knowledge and that your friend 'got it' that copyright is what it means. :thumbup:

Thanks for the update on the situation. With you sharing the problem and the outcome, we have all had a chance to suggest alternate ways to handle it, shared ideas, and learned a lot of lessons. I am glad you felt good about sharing. We all learn from each other and it helps us to know how to handle a similar situation if we have it happen.

This board sure makes for interesting reading!!
