I can say with certainty that I have never purchased a quilt pattern. I did subscribe to two quilting magazines for one year only. I have also purchased some quilting books at thrift stores ($2.00 or less.) So my patterns come from those magazines, books and downloads from computer. I'm a real cheapskate.

I have 4 books and a few magazines. I rarely make a quilt from a pattern but I do use the pictures of them for inspiration.

I am afraid to count number of patterns I have bought. I have decided i must live until I am at least 200 in order to finish all the projects I want to do at this time. And that is not even counting the new ones I may encounter!

I don't have that many, but I do love buying patterns. Recently though, I made the decision not to buy patterns that do not include King Size. Our bed is a king and if I really want to make a quilt I want to be free to keep it or to give it away. Its always possible to put a larger quilt on and have some extra to snuggle in. But I really hate fighting over the covers because the quilt is too small.

Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. Does that answer your questions..I am also guilty of over indulgence on fabrics, threads, notion, sewing machines (especially those tricky little FWs that scream my name and hollor "Buy me". I wish I could stop, but it is a disease that I so love.
