I have had a GREAT day!! I completely ignored the house, dishes and DH (he was just watching sports anyway) and spent 90% of the day in my sewing room.

I finished the twister that I had started. It was much more work than I had anticipated (this is only the second twister I have done and the first was a 12x12 inch Christmas hanging.) It ended up being about 30x35 inches and all from either my stash or scrap bucket. It still needs eyes, some embroidery to form a mouth, and borders. I am thinking the turquoise would be nice but only have enough for the sides. Will have to figure out some cornerstones--maybe some bones or balls?? Anyway, I think it will make a really cute little boy's quilt. Never seem to have enough of those.

I did make some changes to the pattern because of fabric constraints and personal preferences. So, here is my take on "Who Let the Dogs Out".

I've started the blocks for the quilt some of the QBers helped me with (http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...n-t246011.html). However, my final design is a bit different from what I had in that thread -- I'll surprise everyone when I'm finished! I do plan to use the yellow, however! I will post some pics .... if NASCAR races and installation of a new A/C leave me time for sewing, that is!

    I finished 1 half apron.

The full apron has the front and lining sewn together now
need to turn add ties & pockets that will be done.

I purchased 2 table top mannequins last year to use for
displays so I put one on the table so I can take pictures
of the half apron. My mannequin is to darn skinny.

Guess if my stuff sells decent at the bird show next weekend
that I will be hunting/investing in a couple larger mannequins.

Nothing makes me feel any fatter than I already am than to see
this anorexic mannequin trying to wear my apron.

But I learn the HARD way NOT to use my hubs as my model for
capes and aprons because he is a BIG guy (6'3" & 360#).

    LOL

OK I hope I did the whole picture thing correctly. Here is my wall hanging I am working on. I still need to quilt it and do up about another 29 of those little pink flowers.

Anoka Quilter, that is absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of a painting that we got in Hong Kong many many moons ago. And those pink flowers a so delicate!

How fun! Some really nice things going on! I've been alternating quilting with cleaning (I have knee surgery next week.). Clean some, then a sewing reward. I am working on a little guys quilt. Charcoal gray and medium gray blocks....the blocks are whacked in the middle and have a strip of boyish colors inserted. Hope to post a photo when I finish sewing together the rows. The setting I'm using is from a Tula Pink book.

I guess we're watching the Derby now. I better get out my hat!

I was trying to decide between starting a lapquilt for my friend and starting to re-cover the cushions in our windowseat. The cushions are about 12 years old and are terribly sun faded but the quilt is more fun! So I started cutting the fabric for the quilt.
It is up on the design wall now and needs to percolate a bit before I sew any more.
